My wife, 2 year old, and I bought a camper to save money for a house and Monte Ne RV Park was the best place to spend the year and a half it took to save the money for our beautiful new home. Amazing woods scenery with private cove to beaver lake that has great bass, catfish, and crappie fishing! We truly enjoyed our stay at Monte Ne Rv park. Thank you Debbie, Bob, and Stevie!
First I'd like to say the good. Debbie the manager was very friendly and accommodating. We called the night before on our way up from Crater of Diamonds State Park and she had a spot for us. I'd like to say that we appreciated that. However, the place in general is run down. There are many campers that live there full time and you get the feeling that you are being watched and not welcome. The full time person that was parked next to us came over and asked if I had a cigarette. I don't smoke, therefore I didn't have one to give. You just had the feeling you were camping in skid row. We stayed 2 nights and were ready to leave. We ended up going down the road and camped at the Army Corps of engineers campground. Great place and clean! And cheaper!
This place is dumpy, trashy,an I don't recommend staying here,we were going to but when we got in the campgrounds it was disgusting old rvs parked everywhere grass high, dome campsites are really trashed up no thank you don't go here looking for a nice space it's all crowed up redneck town usa
Oh my god.. I came to stay here for a short time and it was awful. The staff were friendly at first but if I had a complaint about something " a long time resident " was doing wrong then the staff turns on u instantly. The long-term residents here seem to be able to do what they want including letting their scary bititing dogs run off leash, and it scared my kids to death! I complained and was told there was nothing they could do cuz it was a nice (rescued) dog and never caused any harm yet it chased us off trying to bite us. I would have called the police if I had stayed there longer! The place is dusty, it's nasty, the showers are dirty, there's no pool, and the residents are not nice. The ticks are worse than any place I've ever been. (And I've lived in Arkansas my whole life) I would not stay here again.. especially with kids or pets. So in short, do not stay here if u have kids or pets bc u will surely be discouraged in ur visit. Also, I'd like to add that it is very hard to get to this place. The trees need to be trimmed and there is serious work that needs to be done to get rvs or campers down to ur spot! My rv was damaged from the arrival and the departure! DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS AWFUL AND THE STAFF IS JUST TERRIBLE! honestly, DEB is the worst of them all.
Wonderful place was trails with trails reasonable priced
This is a nice and peaceful RV park. Far enough off the beaten path and close enough to civilization (shopping). Not the easiest to maneuver a large rig but doable. Tree branches over roadways should be trimmed. I hit many on the way out. We would stay here again.
We had a wonder time here! The staff are wonderful, friendly people who help out in every way. The park is nice and quiet with beautiful trees! We can't wait to go back next year!
Decent place but they have some long term or permanent residents who don't take care of their places so some places look trashy. The men's shower is generally dirty.
This has got to be the BEST place to stay for Bikers, Blues and BBQs! Debi is absolutely fantastic! The facilities are always clean and we never wanted for anything! The campsites are roomy and the cabins are comfy and cozy! This is our second year here and each time is better! See you next year!
Ticks! But that's most of arkansas in the spring /summer. Windy back road to camp, but once set up, it's a nice quiet little park.
