Nice hiking trails that are well maintained with amazing views at the top. I always avoid the crowds by parking at Gibson pond. Wish it wouldn't get so crowded on weekends but not much you can do.
Beautiful place to visit any time of year. One of the best parks in New Hampshire. Well worth summiting the peak for amazing 360 degree views.
Wear everything for a full day hike and expect to be pleasantly surprised with the beauty and views of this grand Monadnock. The Park is very nice and also the head of the white dot trail the coolest trail to the top. Bring camera. The white dot trail is a little longer than the white arrow.
Monadnock is one of the best walk in Boston-area. At only 1h from Boston, it can definitely be a day-trip out of the city. There are a lot of different pathways, so depending on the time and effort you want to put in it, you can choose! Last but not least, the view at the top is amazing :)
I put a 4 because it is full of people most of the time.
This was my third visit here. Trails are in excellent condition and the campsites are always well maintained. It's first come first serve for the 8 campsites here, but have never had a problem getting one late season in Nov.
Well worth the trip if you're interested in hiking. Great benchmark mountain to gauge your abilities.
Camped here overnight and hiked the next day. Took White Cross trail up and Red Dot down. Took 2:15 to the top and around 2:30 down with frequent breaks and a stop for lunch.
