I love to have the option of seeing my granddaughters activities, and all the different post. They are a huge part of my life. I don’t want to miss anything important

The funding for the arts departments were cut recently, so clearly John Stark cares more about their 'star athletes' than any other members of the student body. I still respect what the school has to offer academic wise, but the grading policy is absolute trash. I just wish they cared a little more about the students overall enjoyment of their time in high school, and not so much about the numbers.

Don't send your daughter there if you can help it. Boys don't seem to have too many problems, but many girls are subjected to bullying, and the school doesn't seem to take any of it too seriously. They have some great teachers there, but the people who run the school seem to have no control over student harassment. I know of 5 girls (in a 2-year period) personally who have felt victimized at this school without too much interference from school officials. Several girls have left the school because they did not want to be subjected to it anymore. School officials talk big on anti-bullying, but no action to back it up.
