The Australian-themed steakhouse is a cult favorite whose newest menu item — the french-fry-topped, loaded Bloomin' Onion — made national headlines last month in part because of its 2,360 calories. But the colossal dish is really nothing new for the chain. Since 1988, Outback has been offering generous portions of hand-trimmed steaks, grilled chicken, tender ribs, fresh seafood, and potatoes and vegetables.

There's no doubt that American diners love Outback. The Tampa-based chain raked in nearly $2.6 billion in sales last year from its 755 US locations.

I grew up going to Pats every week for the school program with lessons and now am bringing my kids to the same program.

The director changed this year and there are fewer instructors/lessons available to homeschoolers and they combine kids of different abilities, so the lessons aren't as good as they have been for the past few years, though in previous years, we often got private lessons because there aren't that many kids on Thursday mornings so I understand why they would want to save money and consolidate the kids into larger classes. There is a large variety in how good the instructors are, so it can be hit or miss, but for the most part, I'm happy, and tell the kids when they get an instructor who is more interested in just skiing down the mountain without any instruction to ask questions about how they can improve and that often helps the instructor to actually teach.

Celina, who manages the money and schedule of the home school program, couldn't be better.

I wish the fire in the main lodge was bigger (it is propane that trickles out) because on the days when you get wet and cold it'd be great to warm up with a fire, but the fire is more for show than for heat.

Great place for all levels of experience but espcially for the novice. Around 50% green trails including a large FREE bunny area makes it ideal for transitioning from absolute beginner through to intermediate and on to higher skill levels. The Cascade Basin is a hidden treat and has one of my favorite trails, Cascade Brook, which can be easily skied at a leisurely pace but when taken at speed, provides the opportunity to get on those edges through a left-right-left section. Puff is a gentle meandering slope and probably the first step up from the bunny hill before heading to the top of the mountain for some longer green trails. There are flatter green trails as you descend and some areas for slower skiing designated "family friendly". Blue and black trails are less common but they are sufficient to test out your increasing skills and gain confidence as you go. If you're renting gear then their setup is fast and efficient and if you're unsure on sizing, they'll measure you up. I've never taken part in any of the instruction programs here but you can see lessons taking place across the slopes, from top to bottom of the mountain and the instructors seem very friendly and patient. All in all, the perfect place to start and advance the skiing ambitions of you, and especially the kids.

We only went tubing, and the trails were a little slow. However, the staff was friendly and able to answer any questions. At the pub, the atmosphere was great; I really enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Great views throughout the whole place. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Me and my friends visited Pat's peak ski area last weekend. This was our first time ever skiing, and we had a ton of fun! On weekends (between 3-10pm) they offer something called POP which includes lift, rental and skiing/snowboarding for $49. The best part is that they also have folks who provide beginner lessons and coaching. So overall it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend.

I skied this awesome small mountain 45 yrs ago when all they had were two slow double chairs,one to the top and one in the valley area plus a J bar and a couple of tows
even though Pat's vertical of 710 feet is small potatoes this tiny mountain is steeper Than more than 50% of the bigger mountains in New England it offers a great Balance of nearly flat confidence building beginner runs to headwall steeps that rival the double diamond runs at ski areas with twice the vertical drop,Pat's is the. Best example of a family run ski mountain that has something for everyone and it has only gotten better with time!

Great beginner ski or snowboard mountain that is reasonably priced. You can rent skis or snowboard take lessons and go inside for good food and desserts. They have an outdoor tubing option as well as child care and lesson. Easily accessible off of Interstate 93 and 89 and is only about 50 minutes from Boston. It is never super crowded and the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Parking can be somewhat of an issue but if we get there earlier in the morning you will have no problem getting a spot. Food and beverages are reasonably priced and there is a full bar on the top level of the lodge. You could easily spend a full day there skiing eating and having a good time.

Great place for skiing. Perfect for families and friends. Good for beginners and experts. I always ski for an entire day and do snow tubing in the last couple of hours. The staff and trainers are nice. The only drawback here is that the food and beverage in the food court is not good!

Pats peak is one of the best places in New England area for anybody who wants to get into skiing or snowboarding. I will take 1 star off because the food at their lodge is really bad.
We did the POP (pay one price) deal on a Saturday and it was totally worth it. Lift tickets, rentals, gear and snow tubing all included for $49! Snowboarding under the lights was definitely a new experience and the best part was that we didn't have to wait in lines for the lift.
To top it off, we ended our night with a couple of snow tubing runs (included in POP)!
