This place, these people! They are so great and found me exactly what I was looking for! Proud to say I’m a Mon Amie bride! Tina was so kind and understanding with everything. Love her! 💖☺️
I felt that our consultant more fit the budget than what my sister was looking for. She never once put her in a dress she liked.
UPDATE: I just got married in the dress I bought from Marie and everyone at the party oo-ed and ahh-ed constantly about what I was wearing! It looked stunning on me and the look on my fiance's face when he saw me in it for the first time during the ceremony is a look I'll remember forever.
Initial consultation was greatmake an appointment for a weekday if you can, it's a little busy on weekends. Have an idea of what style and budget you have and it will be an enjoyable and fun time. I found mine on the the initial appointment and did not try any other bridal salon. Ordered it, price was what was expected. It took WAY LONGER to come in, however once the salon manager realized my calls and queries were not being answered satisfactorally and it was 3 weeks to go, she took charge. She called me the minute it arrived, arranged for rush alterations and no extra charge and was wiling to have her seamstress come in on a Monday (seamstress day off) to get me taken care of on my schedule. A hiccup, (designers fault, not the store) with a happy ending and NO BRIDEZILLA moments :)
After weeks of searching, I picked my dress here!! Tina Mclean is amazing, I was torn on the dress liking two different pieces from each dress and with her connections she was able to work it out for me to meet the designer and get the dress made the way I wanted it. SHE IS AMAZING!
Maxx was the PERFECT consultant. Experienced, good listener, enthusiastic, budget conscious, family friendly, and a eye for fashion. The dresses he picked out fit her wishes and body type perfectly. The perfect dress chosen by the perfect consultant. Having a male consultant was a plus in our book. This man knows fashion for any budget. Very respectful.
I found the most beautiful Justin Alexander gown (style 8701) at Mon Amie. With the drop waist, scalloped bottom, and lace applique, it was everything I wanted in a wedding dress, plus with the unique touches of a sequined lining and pearl accents on the bodice that I never knew that I wanted. The one thing that was missing was a keyhole back--but that was no problem for Gloria in alterations. She managed to take a couple of pictures and basically read my mind about what I wanted for the neckline and back. The result was absolute gorgeous. The striking but timeless dress I always imagined for my wedding day. And, most importantly, the groom loved it, and loved the fact that the train was slightly longer than the typical chapel length.
Mon Amie also has a great selection of accessories and formalwear. I purchased my veil from them (again, exactly what I wanted--perfect fingertip length and amount of embellishment), as well as my bridesmaids' dresses (Andrew Adela style 5042S).
Though the dresses are a bit on the expensive side, Mon Amie has a great selection and good service. I first scheduled my appointment because my mom bought her dress at Mon Amie twenty-seven years ago, and I'll definitely be bringing my daughter when the time comes.
