This place has a lot of variety but that come with inconsistency of quality control. If you just keep to the more popular items you would generally do okay. If you think it is not a easy dish to make or the ingredients are harder to get, special cut of meat for example, it's better to sty away. Menu range from average to extremely pricey. Must say I have no comments on their displays, especially the wine collection.

All day dim sum and most items are good.

Came here with three friends for the first time~ Impressive menu! So many different dishes to try, quite a few had ingredients I'd never had ( like jellyfish ). Warm atmosphere, quick/kind wait staff, and delicious food~ The tea provided at the table was delightful. We ordered quite a lot so our server packed up our left overs which was really nice. Left overs reheated well at home, still delicious!

I used to love this place for the good food and the affordable prices. But I found that the food quality lately has suffered greatly to the point where it is no longer anything out of the ordinary anymore. I would have given it only 3 stars for what they are doing currently but they used to be a 5.

Love Minghin for their Dim Sum, which they have with many choices until 4 pm. A must have every time I go are the baked egg yolk buns and the sticky rice. But also anything with shrimps is great.

Always a busy place, but very well run. If you come during rush hour, you won't be seated immediately, but you will get a card with a number that gets announced over the speakers at the entrance and outside.
The food is always amazing! They run the ordering style of marking numbers on the menu rather than picking from the cart. The last time I went, they recently added tablets from which you can order other food instead of dimsum.
The menu doesn't have as much variety as some other places, but MingHin likely keeps it to the common dishes to maintain efficiency. You usually get your food rather quickly.
If you want a quick bite with friends, or have long talks about your past over small dishes and tea, this is the place to consider. There are also other dimsum places in old Chinatown as well if you wish for a more cozy atmosphere with the dishes being wheeled on a cart and a wider selection.

Great food and great service. Upscale but also familiar chinese food. We ordered at least 15 different items between dishes and appetizers to share and I can say you cant go wrong with anything you get.

This is it, based on reviews, and they were right. A great chinese restaurant in Chicago's Chinatown. I am tempted to say it is the best around, but can't simply because I haven't tried all of them here yet. But food was perfect and staff very helpfull and attentive. This restaurant is huge, and the downstairs filled up quickly anyway by around 6 PM. The menu is expansive, so thank goodness it is on tablets where you can scroll through the descriptions with pictures which you can zoom in! Then you just order from the tablet.

food is delicious here. Place is beautiful. Wine is expensive though. tea, seafood, beef, pork, everything were very tasty. They have private rooms in Chinatown restaurant which are great to have a giggle and a chat with your friends. Place is packed with people, better to prebook.

One word: fantastic. This restaurant will be an obligatory stop for any future visits my family takes to Chicago. Incredibly diverse menu, wonderful bubble tea, the best orange chicken I've ever eaten in my life. Generous portions & everything the five of us got was top notch delicious. Loved it!!!

Good service, good food and fair price. I liked all the dim sum that my family ordered. I am not into sweets but their baked egg yolk paste bun was good. It had a nice mix of sweet and savory.

Upon entering, was greeted immediately and taken to a table right away.
Was met at the table by a waiter carrying a pot of tea for me.
The waiter helped me order (because I wanted to try dishes I'd never had before). Made some awesome recommendations (seafood in a nest [shrimp, scallops, and squid] and sea eel fried rice).
Gave a 26% tip because of the cumulative experience of the restaurant.
This restaurant has deeply changed my view of Chinese food, and it has also deepened my respect for the Chinese people.

I ate here a couple of months ago with a group of 10 people. The tables are large and there was no problem accommodating everybody. We ordered dim sum and it was delicious. I especially liked the lotus wraps and the pork buns. The staff don't speak much English but I managed fine with some basic Chinese. Would recommend.

I visited here late one evening and was impressed with several features of the restaurant including speed of staff, size and variety of the menu, and good restaurant hours. MingHin is usually open until 2 AM which is excellent for later diners. Once I was seated, staff was quick to bring hot tea and other starters. Throughout the night I was impressed by their speed and efficiency. The menu was large and varied, and the two dishes I ordered were both delicious and quickly prepared. I enjoyed my dinner here very much, I look forward to going back, and I would even claim that this is the best Chinese food I've had in the city of Chicago.

I was organizing a trip for 47 people. This restaurant was very accommodating. They served a family-style meal with 9 dishes for a very reasonable price. We had several food allergies, and they gladly changed the menu to work around those. We showed up half an hour early because traffic wasn't as bad as we thought it might be, and they welcomed us in and started food service right away. The food was delicious, the restaurant clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
