Mike is the best in the business. Enough said, trust the pioneer of Scottsdale, you are in good hands. Thank you Mike
Mike is a phenomenal mentor and one of the best in the business. He truly cares about each and every client and creates lasting relationships. I am honored to be a part of the #1 producing team in Scottsdale!
Mike Domer is the one to trust when it comes to caring, honesty and integrity are foremost. And right now in this world God knows we need this most.
We listed our home with Mike Domer. He insisted we do a 1 year contract because our house was over a million dollars and he said it may take that long to sell. At the time, I didn't worry about that, because our home was beautiful and very well maintained in a popular Scottsdale neighborhood. I never imagined it would take a year to sell. I later regretted the long contract with Mike.
We asked Mike at the time of listing, if we should change or upgrade anything in the house, he said no, leave it just as it is, so we did.
They did many open houses and showings, I have no complaints about how much they showed the house. Mike has several Jr. realtor that do that for him.
My problem was that we got almost no communication from Mike. It felt like we were in this all by ourselves. It was a very cold and impersonal experience. When the house didn't sell, he made no suggestions about ways to appeal more to buyers. After about 9 months, we dropped the price. We had been right in line with local comps from the beginning, and now we were the lowest price home per square ft. in the neighborhood.
Finally, out of desperation, I asked a friend who had a realtor she loved to ask him to call me. He did, and came over to see our house. He said the house was great, but that I needed to change my furniture. He said it was too formal and dark. He also suggested that I take most of my drapery panels down to brighten the house . I put my formal furniture into consignment, and replaced it with lighter, more contemporary furniture from a consignment store .I took down my drapery panels too. The house sold within a month. I have purchased and sold several homes in my life, and this experience with Mike was the most disappointing and difficult.
So a friend of ours referred us to Mike Domer and said he was the best Realtor in the valley. At the time I was trying to buy a home without using a Realtor so I could negotiate with the selling agent on using some of the extra commission they’d be getting towards cost or sales price. Mike contacted me and said he could negotiate a better deal and my wife and I would be protected with him representing us. I agreed and decided to use him. The first couple of weekends he personally took us out and showed us some great homes that we didn’t like so we kept looking which is normal. After 2 weekend la he handed us off to one of his team members and told me that he would still be behind the scenes negotiating. I didn’t sign up for this but I gave it a try. This person was ok I guess, I didn’t sign up to use them and I felt like Mike was to busy for us. The golf tournament was in town, he had clients to attend to and a big purchase from someone from California that he had to focus on so I felt like our deal wasn’t good enough for him. I was ready to find another Realtor but spoke with Mike and thought we worked it out so we continued to use the team member he referred us to which I wasn’t happy about but gave them the benefit of the doubt. They took us out, didn’t even show homes in the parameters we set up. They got lost, they were talking on the phone while showing the home, put Mike on speaker, he didn’t know he was on speaker and we could hear him being condescending. Long story short, I found a new build that a I had been looking at over a year, made an offer, and asked Mike f he could provide a point towards cost seeing how they did nothing to find this place. If you’ve ever purchased a new build then you’d know the builder draws up the contract. There’s Zero negotiations between the builders agent and the buyers agent. So I assumed it wasn’t that big of a deal to provide this point for cost. Mike then got an attitude. Didn’t even call me to
Congratulate us on the offer, my wife ran into him at a restaurant and he didn’t even acknowledge her. We finally closed on 3/9/20 and it’s now 3/12 and I still haven’t been contacted by Mike to congratulate us on our new FIRST Home. It’s unprofessional, rude and it made us feel like he didn’t care about us. They made 21k off us for nothing. Unless you are buying a million + dollar home he will not give you the service you expect. I’ll never use him for any future purchases and wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.
