They offer a lot of floor room selection for indoor fireplaces, but only one outdoor fireplace on display. They gave me an honest opinion on the accessories offered with the fireplace which helped save some money.

We bought a house with a fireplace but discovered it was a mess. Midwest Fireplace did an inspection and ended up painting the existing insert, cleaning up the existing logs, and replacing the 1980's brass trim with custom modern doors. Tyler and his technician James were professional, prompt, clean, and fixed our fireplace problems for a very reasonable price. Thanks guys!

Don't do business with Midwest Fireplace. Midwest Fireplace sells fireplaces that are also sold from more knowledgable & reptuable dealers around the Metro. Do your homework and shop around.

Midwest sold me a fireplace for new construction but after framing was complete they came out to install the unit and realized the unit wouldn't work, and that I was forced to choose another unit they carried. I picked another fireplace, but this unit would have taken another 2-3 months to have it shipped & installed. I asked for them to provide more options a couple of times but they never delivered. Because of the delays I requested a refund but they kept 10% of the original purchase price. which was $700.

They were friendly but I don't think they have a compentent sales department I was dealing with a service technician who wasn't familiar with thier products. Throughout the process I was constantly given inaccurate information. Inconsistencies ranging from fireplace specifications, models, timeframes and more importantly costs. Every time we talked, the data always changed.

If you shop at Midwest, you'll get the run around. Instead of standing tall and refunding 100% of the purchase price, they opted to keep my money for a product they couldn't deliver. Poor business. Poor support. Poor character.
