my doc is 5 stars. my minor disappointment is that some of the assistants don't introduce themselves and act as though they may be a bit bored with their tasks.

Ive gone back and forth on posting this review for a few weeks now but the treatment I received was horrific. The doctor I saw was kind yet felt very rushed. Once I was given my prescription, I knew something wasn't right. My right eye has always been the worse eye yet on this prescription the left eye had the stronger prescription. (it was L-+1.50, R-+1.00). I have an astigmatism as well that he did not note. After I expressed my concern, I was told to just get the glasses and see how they feel. So I ordered glasses and when I got them, I could not see. I called into the office at 9am to try and have it resolved. No one returned my call until 5 (right before close) where the women questioned my intelligence and told me I was incorrect as the doctor said my left eye was worse. I said ok, can I come in for a recheck? she said yes but all our office people left for the day so ill have to call back tomorrow. In tears, I hung up and sai dno thank you. After all this, I decided to go to a different eye doctor who gave me the correct, stronger prescription of (L-+1.75, R- +2.50 with an astigmatism). I also filed with my insurance as they did nothing to assist me and do not deserve the payment. Maybe this place is good for surgery but if you're looking for a good eye exam, do not go here. I know my vision and at this age, I know which eye is my worse eye. I am truly in awe of how rude and careless the staff is. All I wanted was to be able to see and somehow they managed to send me home sobbing, confused and belittled. do not recommend.

It was my first time coming here as a new patient. Dr. Cockerill might be one of the most kind doctors I have ever encountered. I am definitely going to keep seeing her. However, while I was waiting I overheard one of her assistants IN THE LOBBY talking really really loudly about another patient of hers to another doctor. She even started the conversation with "I have to tell you about this weird patient I had." IN THE LOBBY where other patients, including me are listening. I couldn't believe this girl was talking so negatively about a patient in front of patients, or just in general at all. I believe her name was Pia?? She was a nice girl who seemed young and probably just needs to be taught some professionalism.

I had Cataract surgery in both eyes. My left eye turned out great. The results yielded vision that was as clear as it was before the Cataract. The right did not go so well. A full 3 months after the surgery, it’s not nearly as clear as my left making it difficult to perform many of the things I did pre-surgery. I requested a single vision lens implant for “the clearest distance vision” with the caveat that readers would likely be needed for near vision. My depth perception is now compromised and focal lengths just beyond arms length (that I need repetitively) are never in focus. But that’s not the biggest problem.

My right eye now requires daily medication, hot compresses and nightly ointment to avoid redness, painful irritation and light sensitivity. Prior to the surgery, I had no problems with it. Apparently during the surgery a tear duct was severed/blocked that often heals. Mine hasn’t. It is a constant, painful reminder of what can go wrong.

Dr. Koelling is tops in knowledge and professionalism. She has been my eye physician for about 20 years. Support staff are well trained, and optician Vince Valentino provides great recommendations and service.
