Overpriced for amenities but it's the only hotel in town! It's a pet friendly hotel so the rooms are heavily scentedfirst smell is overpowering. Our room was pretty clean, TV screen splotchy, breakfast bar lousy. If you just have to sleep there you will be ok. If you want better, go to Ft. Myers!
Front desk is horrible and unprofessional. They charged me twice for a monthly rate. Kept saying it's my bank went I'm looking at the charges in my account. This happened two months in a row. Will be contacting corporate office about this!
Great people work there, very friendly. Hotel needs some work though. Stayed there for 2 months. Elevators kept breaking down. Pool had a lot if floating debris. Close to trees, and pines. A cage would be a simple fix. But again I say the staff was wonderful, they were very helpful, and thoughtful
Actually went there for the Spanish restaurant. The food was actually surprisingly good. The hotel looked nice, may recommend my friends stay there when they come to down
Not even worthy of 1 star. Rooms looked clean and freshly remodeled. After a closer look, wet areas in carpet all over room. There were also exposed electrical outlets. Paid for my rooms with a credit card, check in, three hours later $200 in deposits was charged to my account. When i asked the front desk why, they couldnt tell me why the previous employee never told me about it and had turned the sign that detailed the deposit towards the wall away from customers. Although im confused why you would charge a seperate deposit when you have my card on file. Food at restaraunt was ok. Drinks and food were incredibly over priced. $47 for 3 cuervo margaritas?? Oh and don't forget the complimentary breakfast. Or lack thereof. If you want a glass of juice you're set. If you expect more than that you will be disappointed. All-in-all not impressed. Won't be coming back.
We went to El Terasco's and had a group of 9. Food was good, but came out a bit slow. Service was good and we never ran out of chips/drinks. It was Sunday at around 3:30 and was largly empty; there were only 2 or 3 other tables occupied. Overall it was a good experience and I wouldn't mind going again.
My wife and I stayed recently at this hotel. When a Microtel is clean and well attended we appreciate the value. This one is not, at least in our experience. When my wife entered the room we were first assigned, she freaked at seeing someone's belongings in the bathroom and the beds being unmaid, let out a yell and quickly exited. The front desk never apologized but marched me back up to that room, checked it, and with raised eyebrows mumbled a few things under breath about housekeeping, then assigned us another room right beside that one, again while blaming housekeeping and without an apology. Upon entering the new room we discovered towels and washcloths in disarray as though used and missing amenities. After leaving this unkempt property we discovered we had been charged two security deposits plus the price of the room. When I called to enquire about this and to share our experience, I asked for the front desk manager. The person who answered said that she was the manager and without apology took me over the hills and through the woods with a rude attitude and sarcastic tone before spouting off loudly in the phone and finally handing me over to an equally rude, sarcastic and unapologetic so-called manager. Stay tuned, if anyone mature enough, who cares enough and has enough integrity to resolve the issue or even address it, we'll let you know. Caution!
Food is good at the Mexican restaurant. We go there all the time.
Off route location.poorly visible. Not convenient. Clean, but few amenities. Nothing of interest around.
They charge you 100 deposit plus the fee for the room around 90. Don't use a credit 3Rd there for payment unless you want them to hold your payment and deposit for 10 days . its ridiculous, we left a cash deposit so when we left we would be done and paid the fee on credit card . they charged our 'm credit card for deposit and the d
Fee and some stupid 1.25 fee with out letting us know and wouldn't release our funds for almost 10 days. Rooms are small and closterfobic, bar and restaurant next door that is roudy and we had cops on our floor the entire night. The cops I didn't mind . but the customers bullshit the cops had to deal with made it unpleasant and the management didn't do anything. I sure hope they put the funds backs on my card or ill ask the credit card to stop the payment on staying there. And I ate breakfast and got food poisoning was out of work the whole week
In the height of tourist season, there aren't many options. I had to be in South West Florida for a funeral and struggled to find a place that was affordable and clean. This place exceeded my expectations and the late night manager was very outgoing and kind. If you are traveling to Fort Myers or Naples and find yourself in a similar situation, book this hotel. It isn't fancy, but it is clean and comfortable and has all of the necessities including cable TV, breakfast, a pool and a fun bar. It's a bit of a drive (30 minutes) to Naples and RSW, but you will save a bundle and enjoy it.
Upon check in, no one was at the desk and we had to wait at least 20 minutes before any hotel staff showed up. The front desk staff could have went over more information about the reservation especially the security deposit that takes days to credit back to the customer. Throughout the stay there was rarely anyone at the front desk to ask questions and when they were present they were on their cell phones having personal conversations. Overall, the staff could have been more customer oriented.
