We have been visiting here for years with the entire family and thoroughly enjoy it. The facilities are extremely well maintained including the rooms and common areas and the staff trats you like family.

SBC is a fantastic timeshare, first in the world, and a wonderful community. The furnishings are lovely, the views and beach spectacular, and the people superb.

Great location. Free bike rentals. Pool. Easy beach access. Far enough from busy part of town, so it is quiet.

The first timeshare in the nation, the beach club knows how things should be done. Never disappointed to return here, and I've been going for 20 years. If you have the chance to stay, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else.

The poolside bar is fantastic and within walking distance of local rental units from other communities. Friendly bar tenders and a great view punctuate the experience well.

I've been coming to this beach club since 1988, coming for the first time when I was 6 weeks old. My grandparents bought the timeshare back in 1973 when it was first built! Fun fact: it was the first purpose-built timeshare in North America.
I absolutely love this place. It's my escape from everyday life..the one vacation I have to,look forward to year after year. It's clean, well maintained, private, spacious and right on the beach. Fishing is usually on point (visit the Bait Box for a fishing license) and if you're lucky you get to watch baby sea turtles make their first venture to the Gulf.
The pool is always perfect. The hot tub hasn't been working like it used to for the past 5 or so years, though, ever since the pool, pool deck and got tub were remodeled/resurfaced. Either way it's nice to have. For the most part, fellow vacationers are nice and welcoming to newcomers; I've only had one or two sour encounters in 20+ years of visits.
You can rent bikes, use the on site tennis court and play volleyball and horseshoes through the Rental Office which also has a huuuge selection of DVDs. Their website pretty much has anything you needs to know and it's easy to swap timeshares or weeks down here. Personally, I feel best time to go is off-season when the Island is not crowded and it feels like you're one of few on it. I can't imagine what it's like with your plus waits during xmas and holidays and spring break.
I can't wait for this year's trip :)
