Can't really ask for a better location. We sat outside by the harbour. Boats are able to shore up directly on the floating deck outside and there is a member of staff there to help you moor up. The tables are all clean and everything is tidy. Serving staff are all friendly and cannot do enough to help but without hovering or being pushy / rushing you. The food was fresh and tasty. We had the fresh stone crab claws (7) and a chicken Caesar salad. We had a 9.5 month old with us and there are highchairs available so had no issues at all. Margherittas are STRONG! The only thing to consider is parking (both if driving or mooring) as it is limited. Overall we had a lovely meal and would recommend it.

Love,love,love Matanzas! We come to Ft.Myers 2 or three times a year and this is our new spot! Had a blast and it's Beautiful! Very friendly and love the pool and hot tub! And watching the boats and birds on the Bay! And it's out of the way but walking distance to everything we like! 5 Stars and two thums up! Gonna see if we can stay another day! 😎👍👍

The food was fabulous! Bacon wrapped scallops, the smoked fish dip, and the sirloin was outstanding! The cocktails were outstanding as well. Try the salted caramel white Russian!

We only went to Matanzas for food after a half day fishing trip. They were happy to cook our catch and it was not very expensive. The experience came with the cooking of our catches, a potato of our choice, and a vegetable for each person. The restaurant and staff were very excellent but we could not figure out why the table next to us had a dog with them. Not sure if laws about animals in a food establishment are different from where we're from but we found it very odd for such a clean appearing restaurant.

We stayed in both the mooring field and one of their slips in our 40 foot sailboat with a 6 foot draft. The entire area was plenty deep and easy to maneuver.
Then we learned of all the amenities here! Two fantastic showers that are kept so clean. The staff are super friendly and practically always available. There is a restaurant that has live music, food and drinks attached to the place.
In addition, the area is very well suited to getting a boat ready for cruising. There is a local West Marine, three yards to choose from that are a quick dingy ride away. Things are all affordable and most important of all, the people of Fort Meyers are down to earth. Not pretentious like you can get in some boating towns.
We have also come to understand that this is a great option for hurricane season as the mooring field has just been updated. Many boats come here just for that purpose.response / report this review -

We were upstairs. Great view, awesome food & drinks. Recommend grapefruit spritzer. When hot out so refreshing. Josh upstairs rocks! Gotta try the pizza, so good! Seen best on the beach awards for it also. Will definitely be back!!

Nice food, in an odd setting. On a dock, but under a bridge somewhat. Good service. Excellent conc chowder.
