  Clean, comfortable, and quiet. My son forgot his Nintendo Switch and we didn't notice for a couple days. My husband called the general manager and they found it and are shipping it back to us. We thought for sure we wouldn't get it back. I am so thankful for this hotels amazing customer service and honesty.

  Small place, nice rooms with mini fridge, bright indoor lights, heater worked great, nice staff, breakfast was awesome. They offered blueberry and original pancake batter, orange juice, apple juice, fruit like bananas, apples and oranges, yogurt, muffins, coffee. We had a handicap room with a huge sit down shower. Cool little quaint place!

  This is the best deal ever, clean room , excellent services , fantastic varieties of foods and drinks , it's an excellent place to be , so glad I picked this up! The location is very accessible and amazing , I totally give it 5 stars , it's highly recommended to be there for this amazing hotel give it a try like me and you will see the difference

  My wife and I were driving through Janesville and decided to find a hotel. We stopped at the Microtel because we checked out the other hotels close by and thought it looked nice and clean. The man at the front desk was very, very nice. He gave us a great price on a room. We've never stayed at a Microtel before and were surprised at how small the room was (thus the name Micro), but we were very impressed. It had everything we needed and was clean. We didn't have any problems with outside noise and the room was nice and dark. I'm glad we stopped and will definitely stay at other Microtels in the future.

  The bed was comfy, but the pillows were not. The walls are very thin and I could hear multiple muffled conversations through them. Otherwise, things were about what I expected. All in all, not bad for what it is - a slightly spiffed-up motel.

  Not up to the same standards as other microtel inns that I've stayed in before. Rooms smell like mildew, bed sheets are stained, pillows are worn out, no elevator. I've got a great view of a holiday inn that I wish I were at instead. I would have but it was provided for by my employer. There will not be a next time, we will book our multiple rooms elsewhere.

  The room was nice and the breakfast was good! HOWEVER, when we checked in the prices were right, when we checked out the lady kept saying oh one moment I need to check something and when we got home they had sent through charges on our credit card that we did not authorize. Including a fee for stolen linens which is not something we would do! And it didn't just happen to us...there was another man that was checking in at the same time that they kept telling that he had to use his personal credit card even though his room was booked under a Business and was using a Business card provided by his company.
  
  My mom confronted Microtel about this and they said that corporate had to fix it, so she called corporate and they said no if the credit card statement says its from Janesville, WI then Microtel in Janesville has to fix it.

  Clean, nice lighting options in the room and a comfortable bed. Not all rooms here have a microwave and refrigerator but this one did. While it was very close to a major roadway I heard very little noise. I would definitely stay here again

  It is very nice and clean with spacious rooms. Breakfast includes cereals, bananas, apples, juice, coffee, cheese, jelly, bagels, and muffins. Also, you could make waffles which was the best. This place is pet friendly. Our neighbor had a dog and I could clearly hear the dog barking.

  Dishonesty....Creates Bad Review!
  
  For a paltry sum of $1.70, every single positive thing I could have said about this hotel will NEVER be heard. This hotel charged me $1.70 for a room safe that I never used. This is basic dishonesty, pure and simple. I do not know if they would have refunded this fee or not. It does not matter. The fact that they charged this fee without my consent or without advising me of the fee verbally at check-in is dishonest. So Microtel Inn of Janesville, I hope you enjoy your $1.70.
  
  Also, the breakfast served has absolutely no protein. Nothing but carbs and sugar. Not so much as an egg in site.
  
  And, unless you have arms 6 feet long, you would never be able to reach the toilet paper from the bathroom toilet seat in the room we had....So plan ahead or simply avoid this hotel!

  Microtel is definitely an appropriate name; room was smaller than any room I've ever stayed in before, but it was also on the less expensive end too. Lots of small issues that were just annoyances (weird bathroom handle [we think it is actually broken], didn't have much toilet paper upon check-in, funky electrical interference with the alarm clock). Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but not uncommon for many hotels. Breakfast was basic: cereals, pastries, juice milk, waffles. They had issues with the milk dispenser both mornings. Love the waffle maker though; it makes four small waffles rather than one large one.
