If you are going, spring for a nice room. We stayed in an economy queen room and it was a bit cramped; however the property is amazing, with a wonderful central location that let's you stay away from the cruise ships while exploring some lesser traveled Key West restaurants and shops. Accessable via a medium walk to both Sothernmost Point and Greene Street. Free breakfast was a nice perk but it's standard Continental fair. Be sure to say hi to Jordan the cat!

The location was great and the grounds were very tranquil. The rooms were nice and quainta few things needed to be updated. The front desk staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast by the pool was a plus! Wasn't my first stay at Merlin Guest House and I would go back.

The Merlin is a great place to stay in Key West. It's right in the middle of the island and an easy walk to almost anywhere and if you don't feel like walking, the bus stops right in front. The rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly, including Jordan the cat.

We have been staying here for over twenty years and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms a very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a continental breakfast which is nice. It's a great location. We walk everywhere. Our favorite part is Jordan Del Gato the resident cat.

We loved our stay here. They upgraded our room for free! The room had a great balcony and you could tell they had remodeled semi-recently. That being said, the whole guesthouse is fairly old and has lots of character.

Very close to Duval st but it can be a bit of a hike to go all the way to Mallory Square (which we did a couple of times).

Parking is limited and paid. Make sure you reserve ahead of time to get a parking spot if things are busy. There is street parking, but most of it seemed to be reserved for residents. If you have a car, pay for the parking.

The breakfasts are simple but yummy. There is a nice outdoor sitting/eating area for breakfast.

The pool is quite small, so don't plan on swimming.

Do yourself a favor and book the King Suite and stay at this hotel. I had one of the best times staying here. It truly was like a home away from home. The grounds are relaxing and the lush greenery elicit the appeal of an oasis. I stayed here for four days and could have stayed longer! The pool was nice and cool and the afternoon sweet tea was the best! I enjoyed the staff and all of their recommendations as well. To experience Key West like the locals you gotta ask the locals!

My Family and I were down at the end of July and stayed here for Our Special Family Wedding. From the moment we arrived it was wonderful. The people were so nice, everyone, and willing to help us any way they could. We had a beautiful 2 bedroom, one was up a spiral staircase in the loft. It was great really pretty. We had just a short walk to the pool and some restaurants close by, and CVS if you needed anything. I would recommend this place to anyone. The smaller places are so nice you will have a great time. Thanks to everyone that made it so special. Suzanne Pothier

This place was so cute and a wonderful place to stay at for our first visit to Key West. The location was nicely situated as it was within walking distance of Duval but on a peacefully quiet side street. All of the employees were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very kindly upgraded at check in, and did not disappoint as it was immaculate. Breakfast, although quaint, was delicious and served daily on the patio from 8 to 10. The pool was also quaint and although we did not get around to using it ourselves, it was never crowded. Overall a great stay and would definitely go back!

What a great spot! Definitely has the Key West feel, but updated. The grounds were so nice and well kept. The rooms are super clean and charming. They are on the smaller side, but perfect for a couple staying just a few days. Location is within walking distance to all the hot spots but off the mains enough that it is quiet and relaxing when you are at your room. Office staff were top notch and incredibly friendly. We will be back

Very friendly staff. Great location, next to the main tourist attractions, restaurants and Duval Street. A cute and appealing environment with the pool and outdoor deck for the complimentary breakfast. The room is spacious and comfortable. I was glad to have the Keurig in the room as I enjoyed a coffee as soon as I arrived. I would definitely come back and recommend this inn.

We really enjoyed this little hotel. The staff was great (Thanks, Micheall!) and the room was perfect. We loved the garden and pool area, and the early breakfast was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Great little place! A bit away from Duval (1 block) but helpful staff and clean rooms / facilities. Nice pool and common area, but no laps or diving. We paid a little more for the larger room and it was completely worth it!! We're off to party now, gotta run!!

We had a separate house on the property, and it was great! Very clean, and the staff was amazing. The resident kitty, Jordan Del Gato, was quite the gentleman as well.
