I came here because I need to study and plan for the new year, but I wanted food and coffee. I went to the dine in part of the restaurant and my server suggested I get the fettuccini Alfredo. When I saw this beautiful plate steaming hot with garlic, broccoli, and mushrooms hit this table I didn’t know what to do with myself. THEN I tasted it and I was so overwhelmed by the amazing taste that I decided to take a moment to write a review. Also the service is great. Elise (?) was honest when I told her about what kind of meal I was looking for and made some top notch suggestions. 5 star experience.

Very cool place with really good food. I had the chopped salad which included grilled chicken and bacon. It comes with a white French dressing, which is similar to, but way better than, Ranch dressing. Their bread is house-made here, too, and there is something interesting to see in practically every direction.

Wonderful, friendly wait person. The bus person brought us water the second we sat down and even brought our 2 kids plastic cups with lids and straws. I really appreciate that kind of attention to detail.
Host/greeter seemed angry and not at all friendly. The pizza was the perfect temperature. Soda in bottles - yes! Family size salad was just right. The wait person was right there with everything we needed.

Great salads. Top notch restaurant. Compares to the best/most expensive places downtown in terms of food quality and taste but with a super relaxed casual student vibe. Not pretentious at all. Bakery goods are to die for.

Stopped by late for a quick snack to share. Tuna Melt was surprisingly good and fries were pretty good. Overall, service was great and food tasty — and priced right. I’d definitely visit again!

Comfortable casual atmosphere with great service. The air is filled with the smells of great home-cooked bread perfectly cooked burgers and other treats like pastries and special items on the menu. Visiting Chicago for a while and really looking forward to going back

The existence of vegetarian chili cheese fries on their menu is enough to recommend them alone! But the atmosphere at Medici's is great, the staff super friendly, and their food is in general great. Their fries don't travel well, so definitely recommend eating there rather than delivery, but their delivery service is generally fast and reliable. Also recommend their strawberry lemonade, which I'm pretty sure is made with seltzer water and is totally amazing.

Love both the bakery sides of this Hyde Park establishment. Sandwiches and pastries from the bakery side are always delicious. On the restaurant side, love that the salads come with bread from the bakery side. Also great thon crust pizza that I love dipping in the White French dressing. Floats are a treat; I recommend the almond soda with chocolate ice cream.

I ordered a bread pudding to go and it was NOT good in my opinion. Needs to be sweeter. The bread on top was simply stale bread no pudding no sweet goodness no flavor no nothing. The service was spectacular however! I'll certainly return and try something else.

The Med is one of my favorite places at Hyde Park. The food here isn't great (some stuff, like the goat cheese pizza or the 57th street salad, is really good), but the place has such a cool vibe! I love all the graffiti on the walls and the weird statue thing on the second floor that slowly turns around when you're not looking. Having brunch here is fun too!

Always a good neighborhood option. Restaurant had diverse menu and good service. Roof deck is great in summer. Bakery has great milkshakes and sandwiches. Wait can be long.
