Dive bar, and not in the fun way. Tables and floors were sticky, service is unfriendly unless you are a "regular". Bad lighting and dirty restrooms. Karaoke DJ was pretty good, but the layout of the stage was weird. Also not the greatest square to be near at night. Not planning on going back.

Spent a Friday night here this weekend while visiting Savannah. The food was okay, but I was here for the karaoke. The KJ 'Chris' was kind and attentive, and the sound system one of the best I've ever heard. But far and away the best part of the entire experience was the CROWD. It was, quite frankly, the most fun and supportive of any I've seen in a karaoke bar, and I've been going to them for 30-years. The group was diverse and friendly, and it was really fun! A great night out. Kudos.

Cool lil late night spot. Drinks and karaoke. Ordered nachos and fries but it took hella long for it to come.

We had a great time at McDonough's. The staff was friendly, the beer was cold, and the food was AWESOME! We will definitely keep this place on our must visit list every time we pass through!

I enjoy McDonough's and appreciate it for what it is: an Irish Dive with strong drinks and plenty of space. On the other hand, I often get the feeling that Jon Taffer of "Bar Rescue" can walk through the door at any moment with his camera crew. It's a bit of a sh*tshow, but that's probably what you came for anyway. Seemingly always a pedal tavern or bachelorette party on hand here. Also a good NFL Sunday Ticket bar.

Terrible crowd. Terrible experience. Felt unwelcome. Service from cocktail waitress was excellent, but bar staff were openly hostile. Unsure if this was because we were a group with an interracial couple or if it was because it was assumed we were gay, but it felt like neither were welcomed there by patrons or majority of staff. The final straw was when the third bachelorette party came screaming through. Fun for the Patagonia-fleece-and-tie crowd, I guess?

Hubs said they had the best hot wings he's had in a long time.

Great pub atmosphere with great bar food. My berger was good, fries are good, coffee was good the waitress brought my dog a little doggie bowl of water. Highly recommend.

Good beer selection, fun karaoke, but the service was abysmal. Probably the rudest bartender I've ever encountered.

Bar food, drinks. Standard bar joint downstairs. Classier upstairs. Irish theme. Prices are good, food and drinks are good, but what you'd expect from such a place. That said, we always stop in. It's worth it, and the staff is friendly and fun. Be wary. One side of the downstairs is karaoke, and the other side is not. It can still be heard on the other side, but it's not as bad. I don't care for karaoke, and it's tolerable on the other side. If you like karaoke, definitely go! People appear to really get into it. If you don't, still worth the stop, especially if craving fried foods and/or cold beer or cocktails.
