I waited so long to try this place and wanted to love it, in fact I expected to love it. Unfortunately the only good thing was the charm of the old building. Our group of five were one of two tables on a Tuesday evening. It felt like our server was angry at us. Friend green tomatoes we're soggy and sad. It took FOREVER to get our food and when we finally did it was cold and bland. Total disappointment.

I have lived here since 1979 and had never been to Marsh Landing. I went on a Thursday for the blue grass music. I probably should have ordered fish because I ordered the turkey (being around Thanksgiving and almost to Christmas) I thought it would be safe. It was tiny little chunks of
Dried turkey. The coleslaw corn fitters and potatoes were good. The catfish was tiny little pieces mostly bread but the collards were good and the water was great. Overall sides good entree lackingresponse / report this review -

I went on a Tuesday night I arrived about 7:30. There was myself and two other tables in the dining room. I have been there several years ago and had fond memories of the fried chicken and the country style green beans with ham hocks. So I was looking forward to having the fried chicken on the menu it said it took 20 minutes to prepare I was more than willing to wait unfortunately my weight was not worth it. I ordered a half chicken which I believe is 1295 it seemed like the chicken might have died from starvation because it was small. The two sides that came out with it the green beans were type very much looking forward to and mashed potatoes and gravy we're both dead ass cold. The green beans have no ham hocks the mashed potatoes tasted like paste. I think their success has ruined the quality and the carrying of the food that they used to serve. After driving out of my way to go to Marsh Landing it was quite disappointing. How to drive I'll do it again in the near future.

Favorite place to eat while out on a motorcycle ride with friends, great food and service. Frog legs and catfish are my favorite things to order, oh yea the fried chicken is yummy as well.

The music nights are great for atmosphere but the food and service is hit or miss. Sometimes the staff are very attentive and polite. Other times they seem annoyed that you are there. Did a group dinner there one year and the food was excellent. Yet, another time, the food took forever to come and was cold by the time we got it. Nice place with lots of character. Just wish it was more consistent.

The staff is super friendly. The kitchen knows exactly what they are doing. The country fried steak is the best I've ever had bar none. Also if you want traditional country style sweet tea they will oblige.

A little off the highway. Beautiful building with wooden accents. Food was good and staff was friendly.
Had to try the frog legs, they looked like chicken. Flavor was a little fishy, but worth it for a one time thing.
Corn fritters were DELICIOUS. Sweet, crispy outside and gooey in the middle.
Chicken and vegetable soup (chicken corn chowder) was very tasty with crackers.
Pimento cheese burger could hace had a little more flavor, but overall good. Maybe ask for extra jam to get a little more sweetness to it. Veey good with hot sauce poured on.
Price was reasonable. $45 before tip for 3 people (2 appetizers, 2 dinners, 1 bowl of soup)response / report this review -

Had lunch here today and was very impressed. First, the building is pretty outside. Inside, it has very fascinating decor and smart-ass quotes all over the dining place all the way to the restroom. The food is fresh and tasty. It took a little while before our food arrived but besides that the service was very good. Servers were always smiling. We're definitely coming back to try other food in the menu.

Great local selection. Food is good and we call it comfort food. Prices are great. Staff is always friendly. You could compare it to a locally owned Cracker Barrel. Always comfortable and good. Good for breakfast,lunch and dinner.

We went there for our anniversary. The food was bland, looked bland and was way over priced. What I ordered was $6.00 more than the internet menu price. My wife ordered the special of the day and then they upped it $3.00 from the advertised price. She also ordered a side salad for $1.50, which ended up being a little lettuce and 2 pieces of tomato. Shouldn't have even charged for it. Frog legs and catfish had absolutely no taste. Wasted $59 and if it hadn't been for the good company, it would have been a horrible anniversary dinner.
