I think the bad reviews are from disgruntled snow birds that don't know any better.. I have been going to this place for almost 8 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is always great and they have a good beer selection, prices are reasonable.

We came on a Sunday night and the place seemed pretty empty. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (to be cooked medium) but it came out medium well. The sweet potato fries were delicious. From the outside, it looks sad because many of the exterior lights aren't working.

Just had my daughter's graduation dinner at City Tropics. They were more than accomodating and attentive to our needs. The staff made us all feel right at home. Professional and courteous staff while the food was delicious. I'm so glad we chose to have our special event in such a great place.

They have big goals and ideas, but just don't know how to deliver. It's too bad. I think perhaps the problem is corner cutting. For example, don't serve prime rib if your not going to cut to order. It's lost in the details. It could be great. The potential is there. They just need to do a better job. Spend the money and hire someone who knows how to do it.

I have eaten here in the past and had really good meals from the menu. I've even told others to dine here and they liked it. HOWEVER, EASTER sucked. I drove 45 minutes, brought a girlfriend who's son is moving to the area to show her a good restaurant, checked out the reviews from last year and was all ready for a great Easter meal. How disappointing. The table we were sat at was filthy - was never wiped down. The food was, first of all, not available. Most of the dishes were empty. The wait time was 10 - 15 minutes for full dishes. Which actually now that I think about it is ridiculous since the restaurant wasn't full. What was good to eat was the cheese tortellini and the coffee dessert cake. What was passable was the prime rib, eggs, breakfast meat, shrimp. All the rest was sad. The chicken was tasteless, I don't know what they did to the lamb, the vegetables were eh, and the rest of the desserts were tasteless (kind of like the ones at Chinese buffets - you know the ones: pretty but no taste). And all of this can be yours for $29 but wait! You will be paying extra for whatever you want to drink. When all was said and done my horrible meal was $40 by the time I added a soda and the tip. Really expensive pasta meal.

We did run into someone who dined here last year and she said that it was so much better last year and so disappointing this year. You know the saying, it takes 5 minutes to gain a customer and 5 seconds to lose one. You lost me (and my friend and her son and her son's new wife, etc, etc). What a shame.
