Black Creek Outfitters is your one stop shop for all your kayak fishing needs! With such a knowledgeable and friendly staff, you won't find a better place!! I highly recommend stopping by and checking out all the awesome gear inside- from paddle boards and kayaks, to camping equipment and clothing, Black Creek has it all!

My child has had a wonderful time at this facility but when a concern arose, that is when they failed. I don't judge a business by what I purchased, I judge them on how they treat customers and resolve problems. The trainer Austin needed a lesson in speaking to kids 8-12. He was inappropriate based upon my child and additional interviews with other kids. When speaking the owner Joe, he dismissed our concerns and claimed it was a training voice with providing every excuse to take responsibility and resolve.
UPDATE: After my initial review, the owner had an Attorney draft a letter requesting for me to "IMMEDIATELY" remove my review. The owner is not very customer oriented based upon the overall experience and I did have my child use the facility after the director ensured me that she will be visiting the establishment and would not allow the trainer (Austin) to coach my child. This style of safety and security should have came from you the owner along with taking responsibility to resolve not argue or the childish antics. I never once obtained a heartfelt apology as you were condescending and disingenuous. I agreed to make up for the occurrence and you could not respond to my restitution for the situation. I can not and will not allow the misconduct of your staff and/or training methods to be unheard. You can certainly negate responsibility for the event and attempt to defend your actions with us continuing to use your facility after you would not provide a refund for the remaining lessons based upon the unfortunate incident. I'm confident that you shine in other areas but resolve is not one of them.response / report this review -

Great store, cool gear. They price matched all clothing items I purchased. They actually looked them up on the internet when I was checking out, saved me a good bit of money. Staff is very friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN LAKE BEHIND THE STORE TO TRY OUT SUP BOARDS! It's AWESOME!

My husband and I took a kayak class on a Saturday morning at Black Creek Outfitters. We have had several encounters with manatee on the rivers and wanted to learn how to "rescue" ourselves if we were ever overturned in our boats. Trent was an excellent instructor. He taught us the basics of paddle strokes and provided us with constructive feedback as he observed our techniques. He was professional, courteous and we enjoyed the class! We also learned how to rescue ourselves if needed. Thank you Black Creek and Trent.

Great store with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Arrived fifteen minutes before posted opening time and they were open--not often that a store will open early, but apparently if they are there they open. They go out of their way to help you without being intrusive. Was looking for clothing and found good variety of items in stock. Will definitely return.

We bought two Hobie Mirage Pro Anglers a couple of weeks ago and we absolutely LOVE them! Jake, our salesman was so knowledgeable and obviously loved what he was doing. The owner of the store was there and was just as helpful. We will be back for our kayak Trailer soon.

If you love kayaks, you owe it to yourself to visit. The fellows here are knowledgeable about all things Kayaking, river sports and saltwater rigs. What is unique is the lake they have access to next to the building, complete with dock and tiedown cleats. I tested two of the Kayaks, a Hobie PA 14, and a Wilderness System Radar 135. Between this comparison, The Hobie was miles ahead in every measurable aspect. But this is my opinion, you should try it out for yourself. Stop on by.

While visiting the area we decided to look for a specific brand of kayak. We found Black Creek Outfitters. From the moment we walked through the doors they were professional and knowledgeable. Delaney answered every question my husband and I threw at her and ensured out demo experience was to our satisfaction. We bought the kayak. Now to tie it to the top of our Jeep!. Needless to say, it was a challenge but just about every employee, including Matt the manager made sure that not only was it secure but safe. I can't thank them enough for all they did for us. They went above and beyond just selling us a product.

Staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The entire store is stocked with high quality products and gear. Having a large pond directly behind the store to test kayaks is a big help for anyone looking for a new kayak or paddleboard.

I talked to a good friend for some advice on buying a kayak-- he is a Hobie Kayak owner: "Just go to Black Creek Outfitters, you won't be disappointed." Our experience with Black Creek was great. Austin Solomon was knowledgeable, a polite professional and very helpful with making our selection. He expertly set up the test drive, helped with accessory decisions and was very patient with us. Joe ensured we were pleased with our experience and our purchase as we were leaving! Easy 5-Star rating. Thanks

I showed up at 5 on a Sunday and Adam was extremely helpful in finding the right kayak for me. This store has excellent service and I was able to try out 3 kayaks on the lake behind the store. I left with my new kayak very happy! I'll never shop online for a kayak!

The absolute best place to go for your kayak needs! These guys know their stuff! The ability to try before you buy is great with the lake out back. We have bought two kayaks from them now, and they were so accommodating of our needs and knowledgeable of the products they sell. Adam sold us our 1st one and 2 weeks later Joe the owner sold us our 2nd. These guys gave us the right information and equipment needed to properly secure our kayaks to our trailer. Thanks guys!
