This was a very awesome market! Everything is so much cheaper than going to a regular grocery store! You also have to try the steam buns! I will be doing my grocery shopping here every week for now on for my produce and korean meals. They had everything that I needed in ONE stop!
One of the few Korean grocery markets in the city. Great pricing and variety of goods. They have a small restaurant inside and a bun stand outside the market. I love their kimbap, so go a bit earlier to get it while it's fresh!
What more can I say about Joong Boo than it's a fantastic place if you need to grab some home-style cooked Korean food, as well as do some grocery shopping. Always has a great selection of meats and great sashimi platter deal. $35 normally and only $25 on Wednesdays. I highly recommend calling to reserve a platter for Wednesdays, those things sell quick. Be weary though, if you have a truck, SUV or anything larger than a normal sedan. Very, and I mean, extremely, small/cramped parking lot.
The pork dumplings from the booth in front are craveworthy! Its a nice little market with a good cafe inside. Rather crowded inside the small area but they have pretty much anything you need to make a delicious Asian meal.
Lovely store with a good selection, including the household goods section. Nice choice of Asian specialties. Good meat and seafood sections - but nothing organic or grass-fed as usual in ethnic stores.
Good selection of mochi and fishcake products. Vegetables are better than I used to see in stores of this size.
On-site food is great - both the dumpling store outside by the entrance and the tiny bistro inside. Absolutely a must for each visit.
For an low-cost grocer the store is clean. Take credit cards. Parking may be a challenge in peak hours (4-7pm) and on the weekends.
Love this grocery store. They have a nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, the fish is fresh, and the prices are good. And the dumpling stand outside? Mind blowing.
Good selection of Korean groceries. The little restaurant inside the store has delicious vegetarian food. Parking lot is not too big though.
Greatest store. Cheap and amazing steamed buns for only $2 outside. Delicious Korean fast-food stand inside. Also, a well-tailored selection of fishes, meats, vegetables, and eastern packaged goods. Support this local business!
Get that traditional Korean fix here at the Joong Boo Market with their fine selection of mostly Korean products. The only thing this place really needs is more room because my girlfriend and I wanted to have diner here, but had to leave as the restaurant in the back was packed to capacity. Still 5 stars. That can only be a good thing.
Excellent variety, awesome restaurant, awesome steamed buns too! Love coming here. Right off the highway. Sunday mornings are the best time to come because it gets really busy. Everything is fresh and this is vegetarian heaven when you are new to this lifestyle. Just look up vegetarian Korean dishes before you go so you know what to buy!
Excellent Korean market with a great selection of food and home items. Although smaller than H-Mart, it's a much more laid back shopping experience. This place has a really good casual restaurant area. The best place I know for a delicious and reasonably priced Korean lunch. The only downside is the parking lot is small and stressful to park in. Free parking, but very competitive. But everything about the store is more than worth the minor parking hassel.
This Korean grocery store has been around for ages and is the best place to get cheap Korean food and ingredients. They also provide a small food court with a delicious variety of food! It is definitely worth a visit. Only small complaint I have is that the overall store feels old, outdated, and somewhat unclean. Running the business for so long, you'd think they would upgrade/remodel the place.
Great market for Asian products. Their fresh steamed buns are tasty and very affordable. The restaurant area is small, but the food is good. The parking lot can get crowded, but you can find parking.
This place is amazing, first of all, as soon as you enter you get transported directly to a Korean market. Also this is a great place to polish your Korean as most of the dog is on Korean, though the staff is sort friendly. Now if you like to experience food at it's purest form, this is also the place as they have this small in space but huge in flavor restaurant, all I can say is that whatever you order you won't be disappointed Just be prepared because the heat 🔥 is on here ;)
Only good place to get Korean goods in the city. They have most everything you could need and prices are decent. Produce isn't the cheapest but still better than your Jewel/Marianos. There is a nice little gem of a "food court" here if you need your Korean fix as well. Maybe 10 seats total but sometimes you just need to have good cheap Korean food. Having moved from southern California this place has gotten my wife and I through the past 3 years haha. Could be cleaner and bigger but overall great place for Korean groceries and small household items.
