This place is just the cat's meow. I've had the best pancakes I've ever had in my life there. It makes breakfast a glorious experience. The weight is usually anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half but it is always worth it. They know how to turn over their tables fast. Take a book, be prepared to wait, and then be prepared to enjoy some great food.

Great food! Hot, fast and fresh. Had the new Sunday special and a side of the best pancakes you will ever have. Our server Jules was great too. My go to breakfast place.

Decided to give this place a try after reading reviews. The food is great. I loved the pancakes and homemade syrup. Our waitress was the best. I truly enjoyed her and the food.

I had to wait an hour until I was seated. But it was my first time so I really wanted to try their famous pancakes out. The food came super fast. And the pancakes were so distinct; you will not find their flavor at ihop, Jim’s, or Denny’s. However the wait for authentic pancakes was ridiculous. It’s not like crackle barrel where you can shop or have something to do for an hour; safe to say I’m easily entertained by dancing babies in the waiting area. Overall my experience was a 3 Star.

The food was delicious! Good portions and good service! They have gluten-free options (they sub the flour with buckwheat flour) upon request. Unfortunately, they do not accept reservations. So be prepared to wait.

Was visiting a friend from out of town and went about 10:00 am on a Friday. Wait was about 35 mins, but definitely worth it! Nice light and fluffy pancakes. The eggs and sausage patties were also excellent and cooked as requested. If I went back I would definitely try the corned beef hash. Also, the coffee here was outstanding.

Came here from out of town. I found it by Googling DD and D places.
Everything was good but nothing crazy special. I had the lemon poppy seed waffle which was good and really different.
Service was great. Wait was small. If I lived here i would go back. We drove 20 mins out of the way to get here. Not sure if it was worth the drive, but if you're close check it out.response / report this review -

Be prepared to wait for a table, but the food is very good. The best corned beef hash I've ever eaten. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Ironically, the pancakes were just ok. The service was prompt and friendly. I would definitely eat here again.

The food really was great! Pancakes were the best I've had. The service was fast and friendly. It's worth the wait. We waited on the front porch, and was comfortable with the shade and fans even though it was hot out. Great place!

A lot of friends have recommended this place and I saw it was on the Diners Drive ins and Dives list so I thought we'd pop in and see what the hype was about. Wait wasn't bad, we went at around 10:45 on a Wednesday and only waited like 5 minutes. So that was better than expected. The wait for food and drink was a bit, but for the amount of people in the establishment, that is completely reasonable. Everyone seemed nice and friendly, the food was delicious, highly recommend chicken and waffles on Wednesdays

Great place for the family to enjoy a tasty breakfast that is also more than filling. I have frequented this location every Sunday for the last four months and have found that they are consistent in their service and their quality of food. Wish their coffee was a little more flavorfulbut I am a coffee snob so I am sure most would not notice. The wait if you arrive after 0830can be 30+ minutes, there is always a line but well worth the wait!

First time here and absolutely loved it. My boyfriend and I waited about and hour and change but it certainly is worth the wait no need to get mad. Besides they are straightforward about your wait time from the beginning. The food was of great quality and the service was great! Our server Chris P. Did a great job and even though they were almost closing he never rushed us in the contrary provided great service!

Service was great. However the cooks weren't able to deliver consistently poached eggs. One was good egg was good and eaten. The other order of eggs benedict were sent back because they were past medium well. Hash browns were amazing so was the mimosa.

Were 1st time visitors to San Antonio. We're from Phoenix and Albuquerque. The Magnolias food so good. Carlos was our server, he's very personable excellent customer service. I'm highly recommending this place. Only negative the hash browns not to my liking.. There made with garlic and onion powder.

Cute little spot with great lattes. I love the pink lids for the coffee cups!
It's a casual spot where you order at the counter. It's on the smaller side with some couples' seating and mainly around the wall bar seating and a larger communal table in the back.
My morning melt (panini with egg, cheese, and tomato) was perfect!
Not much else in the immediate area, which also make parking easy.Magnolia Pancake Haus is best.response / report this review
