My company had their holiday party at Madison Marriott West for the 4th time. This was by far my best experience there. Staff was courteous and attentive, and the food was delicious and fresh. We had brisket and chicken as main courses and both were well prepared and seasoned. This topped last year, since food was running out last year and either over or under cooked.
They do a great job here. We come back every year for a convention and the staff is always so helpful, patient and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and clean the beds are amazing and the cafe is full of delicious food. We love staying at this hotel.
Rooms were clean and good size. Beds were smaller than usual. Staff was quick to accommodate requests and fix any issues. Main complaint is the water; way too much chlorine. Showering or washing my face caused my skin to break out in a bright red rash. I had to buy bottled water to brush my teeth, because the taste was overwhelming. Swimming in the pool you can see a white film over the tile and my hair required five washes to remove the chlorine smell.
Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and good amenities. The location is very convenient to shopping, the University and other area attractions and has plenty of on site parking. The pool and hot tub are reasonably sized but were overcrowded on Saturday night. We were unpleasantly surprised by our interactions with the front desk staff, most notably that the level of customer service was much lower than we've seen before at any Marriott property. Once we notified management of our inability to get specific concerns addressed, they went out of their way to make it right. We are very loyal to the Marriott brand and this mid-range rating is only for this specific property on this particular visit. I am willing to give this location another chance in the future, hoping this was an aberration.
I went for the broadcaster's clinic. First thing I saw was how huge the hotel is. I was in the lobby and it was clean and gorgeous. Second thing I noticed was jow large their conference area was. They also had an actual breakfast for us as well as meal for lunch. I had seen it listed as continental breakfast and had assumed it would include muffins and a couple of Apples. They had apples but much more food. I liked the breakfast and was also impressed with how many types of veggies they included in their lunch for us. I definitely want to go back and stay in the hotel as a guest based on my experience with the staff, the good and cleanliness of the place.
The lunch predicted at the conference I was at was really good. Conference rooms were a little chilly. I liked the names of them (Mendota, Superior, etc).
I am back for a week. The hotel could use some love. Apparently the FAU football team is here and I have heard infrequent yelling across the atrium but now at 10pm it is pretty quiet.
I have a standard king room this time as most of the hotel is filled up.
The standard room is ok. Pretty much the same as the suite but smaller.
I was missing the complimentary water bottles but got some from the front desk.
The gym has seen better days and there was a water leaking from the ceiling at the entrance but it was quickly attended too.
The nice bonus is I am able to get 500 points extra per night for no house keeping. Awesome!!!
I am looking forward to a quiet workout tomorrow morning and breakfast.
Rooms are okay. No bathroom fan, no safe. Beds were comfy enough though. The breakfast buffett was way overpriced for the selection of foods. Might want to look at the menu first.
Place is clean and staff polite and helpful. Rooms are decent, could use mini fridges, but are still nice. Pool is enjoyable. Conference center attached is well maintained
Great staff, polite and welcoming. They always had a great attitude and assisted in a prompt and kind way. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would love to come back.
Fast check in and clean, well-adorned room. The hotel was rather full due to an event at the convention center, which revealed that the two beautiful but undersized elevators aren't nearly sufficient to serve all ten floors. The atrium causes the temperature to be quite warm outside the upper rooms, but does create an appealing view. The various breakfast offerings seem expensive ($12 - $16). The hotel picked up the taxi fee from the airport since their shuttle was not available.
The hotel was nice and the room was clean. I was on the concierge floor, which isn't open weekends so that didn't matter much. Breakfast also wasnt until 630, so we couldn't grab anything before heading to the airport. The hotel was good otherwise.
Went to the wrong hotel haha, sat down and ordered breakfast before realizing my error. Server was really great, packed up the food in a to go box, brought my coffee out in a go cup as well. Great service
Great service! Very friendly staff, and great food at the restaurant. Close to several cheap dining options, and fairly close to the old town area as well.
We recently stated at the Marriott West in Middletown. The hotel was in great condition and close to the highway making travel around Madison convenient. The room we had was clean, modern and we'll appointed. We stayed one night in a double bed room. My only "complaint" would be that the hotel didn't have any complimentary breakfast on Sunday morning. We have stayed other places where that was provided over the entire weekend. While we certainly enjoyed our stay, we will probably look for another place in the future since we travel on weekends with kids and having a complimentary breakfast on Sunday is a nice perk. Very nice place to stay though!
