Very busy, and you can tell that the people who work there love what they do. Very clean and the animals are well cared for! !

All the staff are super nice! There are 3 outdoor pens to play with doggos that were clean when I went in. Apparently too much rain will turn them into lakes. Fortunately, there is an indoor room to meet with potential furbabies. They take in other animals too like chickens. The adoptable cat room is split into two cages where cats comingle.

Edit: I finally adopted a pet from here during the BISSEL Empty the Shelter event. The adoption fee was covered, so we only had to pay $8 to register our dog with the city. Painless process despite how busy it was.

Not a large selection of animals (that can be considered a good thing). However, large majority of the dogs are pitbulls or pitbull mixes, which isn't the best choice for many people looking to rescue a dog.

I volunteered here for almost 2 years and there 5-6 days a week. Volunteers having to save animals from Jeff Randazzo, talks bad about his employees except Brian but they have an inappropriate relationship. Gives animals to their veterinarian that's a hoarder. Gives animals to guy that eats them. They lie about their number and save rate. What you see in the media is not what is behind the walls. I left along with other volunteers. Keep updated on what's going on here Macomb Community Watchdogs

I want an indoor/outdoor cat. I stopped by and fell in love with a cute kitten, but then i found out they only allow you to get a cat if its strictly an indoor cat. I wont be back.

Very good service. A dead skunk in our backyard was polluting the neighborhood (especially our house) we called MCAC and I barely had hung up the phone and they were here to haul it away. Thank you.

I got my dog here about 7 years ago. I was looking to adopt again, though they only had 1 dog. Which is alright because the staff was ver helpful.

Had to go here to get a dog license for the state of Michigan. They have a small area in the back with dogs and cats available for adoption. Quite crowded when I was there because everyone was getting new licenses for the year. Don't mail in your registration, the lady showed us 2 huge boxes for mail in forms.
