Great shop. Went there to find a new knife. The gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable about his products and recommended one to me which I ended up getting. Will return for future purchases.

Army surplus, guns and tactical gear. They have a little area for AR parts also. Plenty of gifts for the milspec man. Only place I have seen lately that stocks Luminox watches.

Was looking to spend 1000$ on a rifle but no bathroom so I gotta run and take my 4 year old somewhere else. It's funny cause I know we've used the bathroom before

Very nice people, super friendly and willing to help you find what you need. Some of the stuff they carry have same or even better price than online ( considering you'll save shipping) and as business owner I find a great place to support local with very reasonable prices. Can't express how much I love My 511 Backpackliterally you can go places with it ;).

The store was cleaned and organized Employees are well aware of their job and how to go their job. Outside store was nice and clean Phil is the best he answered alot of questions that i had and he was very polite With him Phil was a great experience i was not feel comfortable the first few times i went in the store but Phil wasnt trying ro just make a sale and for that I'll always deal with him❤💪

I am a retired soldier who displays my Military pride in civilian life through hats, tie pins, lapel pins, unit patches and more. I visited M&C plus several times at the university ave location and the 13th. St. location and I received the same treatment each time. I am a proud African American man and Veteran, I walked into the store and I was not great by anyone, but everyone walked in after me was Caucasian and they were all greeted cheerfully upon entering the store and they were all asked if they needed assistance with anything. So to see if maybe my entrance was unnoticed, I decided to leave and return, I got the same results no greeting. I purposely walked in front of each employee several times without asking me if I needed assistance; So then I put my military security skills into action and I noticed that the staff was watching me as though I was going to steal something. I am a well dressed, well groomed and well mannered gentleman at all times. It is appalling to be stereotyped and disrespected without just cause in today's world. I live and work in the Gainesville area but I will never patronize M&C surplus again. I drive to Ocala or Jacksonville for my military supplies. I patronize Military Outlet in Ocala on Hwy 200, the owner is a retired Marine and she is genuinely customer friendly/customer oriented. On my first visit she didn't have what I wanted on hand and had to order it in. My first order was over $500.00 she didn't require me to make a deposit of any kind. Whenever I patronize her store her customer service skills are the same and I never have to make a deposit on any special order items. To the ownership and staff of M&C surplus those of us who you stereotype without just cause provide world wide freedom and defense so you can prosper as a business owner and employee. The brave men and women of the armed forces will always protect and defend America's way of life no matter how disrespected and unappreciative many Americans are to us. In fact today I am driving to camp blanding for the things that I need.

I didn't even get the gentalmen's name. But long story short. Needed some shirts they only had 1 in my size with an hour and a half drive to the store by the time I got there , they would be closed. The gentalmen said he will hold it in the back until next day where I have enough time to make it there. Once I arrived he took his time out to go searching and found another shirt my size. Last two they had. Def. Worth the hour and a half drive there. He was great wish I could of for his name!

Another local business that weathered the big box invasion. Knowledgeable staff and women owned. Almost always have what we need & if they don't, they can order it.
