We were a party of seven. The staff was cordial and professional. Katie, our server, was delightful and a real pro. Drinks, appetizers, table-shared dishes, and entrees were all timed and staged in a timely procession. The food was perfectly prepared, and delicious. I would definitely go back, and recommend you try this intimate and well run restaurant. A real treasure.

Excellent quality food! It tastes like my grandmother made it. Service was excellent, which is what made this a 5 star rating. Our server was very nice and understanding. She visited us frequently enough,but wasn't in our face the every minute -- exactly how service should be. I would definitely visit this place again if I came back to Charleston.

I came here with a friend before we had to go home and it was definitely worth it. The whole place was really nice to be in and the decor was very thoughtful. We sat at the bar and ordered a few dishes while chatting with the friendly bartender. All of the food was delicious, rich and extremely flavorful! We got the scallop and pork belly appetizer, shrimp and grits and the crab Mac and cheese. I've never been a fan of grits, but I figured that while I was in the south, I needed to try it the right wayI'm really glad that I did! If you like flavorful and filling food, friendly staff and a nice dining environment, come here.

Wow. Excellent food on Market Street in Charleston. Who'd have guessed it possible! If you're looking for a great place to eat on Market st this is it. You will not feel taken advantage of. The meal was excellent. Service great. I will go back. She Crab soup is the best. I had the jambalaya and it was great.

Great food and even better service. The appetizers and entrees came in large portions, our bottomless Mimosas we truly bottomless (thank you Katie), and the food tasted great! We got there early and we were seated right away. The seating was a little crowded but it is a quaint restaurant in the middle of down town Charleston. Service with a smile must be their motto. We had a great brunch!

As a front desk concierge, I love to send my guests to this location. They have great shrimp and grits, interesting appetizers, and she-crab soup that competes as one of the best in Charleston. Service was great and if the weather is nice, ask for porch seating!

A great place to eat. Obviously the shrimp and grits are a good choice, but the she crab soup and crabcakes are a must. The staff (especially Abby) are great and VERY knowledgeable about the menu items. Forget Hanks across the square and eat here. I recommend sitting in the front window and watching people as you eat.

Dined here for a brunch/lunch time slot. We were seated promptly and orders were taken. Service was a bit slow but nothing worth complaining about. Our dishes took almost 30 minutes to come out and I would not say they were packed.

My shrimp and grits were good but nothing to write home about. There are better choices in town. My wife got the chicken and waffles and they were slightly above edible. The chicken was dry, the waffle was dry, the butter and syrup were overly sweet. I believe the chicken and waffle must have been reheated.

Bottom line neither of us were impressed. We won't be back.

My wife and I travel quite a bit so we sample a lot of local restaurants. Low Country Bistro is by far one of my top 5 favorites. The food is locally sourced, the staff knowledgeable, and friendly. While it sounds strange, I recommend the fried green tomatoes then the shrimp and grits (Amazing). One word of advice make a reservation as they are busy, for good reason!
