We based our decision on prior reviews. My wife's entre was good, not great. My sandwich was a huge disappointment. Dry toast! And not a single expected sauce or spread, nor pickle, tomato, onion, or lettuce. I had to ask for the Cajun mayo - which was bland. And the house fries were overdone, old, and all the little leftover burnt pieces.

The waiter was nonchalant and was "elsewhere ".

My wife wanted me to complain to manager but I was too hungry to wait for our waiter much less the manager.

Busy, but not worth the frustration and disappointment.

Sadly this was our last dinner in San Antonio before flying home.

I love the food here. I especially enjoy the house made fettuccine with shrimp. Plus, it's the only place that has chocolate cake that is nearly as good as my dad's (and he makes GREAT cakes)! It allows me to decadent indulgence of ONE slice of chocolate cake without the worry of eating an entire cake if i ask my dad to make one 😁.

Not just a bar, it's a great spot for quality food. The service is fast, the prices are not bad at all, and like I said before the food is on point. Cool little joint. Parking is mainly across the street in a little dirt parking lot. There's an upstairs and downstairs dining area. A lot of culture in this place. Within walking distance to the Villa Finale Museum and Gardens.

Atmosphere is great, food was awesome, staff was friendly and attentive. The converted convent makes for great character at this trendy eatery. We had the specialty toast and goat cheese appetizer, which was awesome. My wife had one of their specialty salads, I had marinated grilled chicken with grilled cabbage, delicious and filling. We each had a glass of wine and I found the price to be exceptionally reasonable. We will be back again.

The food and drinks are pretty good. Great atmosphere for a crowd. They have bigger tables, music playing and you can talk loudly and laugh with friends. It's a really trendy hangout for locals and a great spot for smaller office parties or birthday gathering, since it's open, but feels private. The staff keeps the lights low and they don't bother you much.

So sad, one of my favorites has lost its shine. Arrived around 5:30 on a Wednesday, one other couple at the bar. First drink was a top shelf Manhattan. Stale cherry not impressed with the prep or serving.
Ordered an appetizer that i mistakenly ordered saying "I'll have the shrimp" my poor Mexican vocab failing me in understanding it was not shrimp. The bartender served the calamarie as in point to correct me.
The pasta with shrimp that i ordered for my main meal was good, far from great. Really would have liked some more sauce but my bartender was inattentive. The Manhattan ran empty after the appetizer and i was not ( 3 total at the bar) asked if i would like a refill until my dinner was finished.
Sad they seemed to have lost the great customer interface.

Happy hour specials were pretty good(menu attached). The dishes seem like they're trying to be high end but slightly missing the mark, or maybe I just didn't get it. Not bad though. The goat cheese app was good.3.5 would be more accurate.

Food was average but good if you want to go there to get hammered. As a pizza connoisseur, do not expect much from their pizzas, as they are a generic crust, lacking sauce both presentation and flavor. The side of the dining area facing west needs blinds on the windows, if you go there between 4pm and 6pm good luck as you may be blinded/roasted by sunlight. If added blinds, I'd give this place a 4-star

Thoroughly enjoy the reverse happy hour they offer. Pair a drink a pizza and I'm set for the night. Liberty bar is one of those tucked away spots that delivers a quality experience without costing an arm and leg like most of the other spots in South Town.

Nice atmosphere for relaxed lunch or dinner, a throwback to less hurried days. Menus vary from time to time, but always have something that piques my interest. Service is top notch.

Great location! You walk in and hear the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant. The sign said "now serving up stairs", at the top was the open kitchen. We were immediately sat at a table that over looked the parking lot below (not a bad Thing). We order happy hour apps (the normal apps half off): roasted garlic head and minguichi--cheese dip. Jacob was attentive but not over bearing. Well be back for another round.

Simply delicious, cool repurposed old joint with all sorts of made-in-house items. Best mole-verde I have had in agestrue tejas comfort food and atmosphere where we were excited to explore the eclectic menuglad we made the short hike from RiverWalk!

Really cool bar. Also really overpriced. If you want a cool place to go drink and you are made of money, this is a great spot to hang out and drink. Good date spot, too. My favorite thing is the fact that it is all set up like an old house inside.

The food here is always good. And the atmosphere is fun and friendly. The food is a great mix of unpredictable and interesting food combinations and comfort food. Love it!
