Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed due to a fire🔥just weeks after it sold to the owner of Paloma Blanca.
We hope they will start reconstruction of the damages soon.
We miss them!
Great burgers! I'm sure it's not on my diet, but heck you only live once!

Delicious cheeseburger and fries. Cheesy Cheddar hits the spot. Restrooms a bit small. Overall a must stop for a fabulous cheeseburger. Has a bar area as well as an outside seating area.

Good burger I prefer a better quality bread bun, or options. The interior needs a remodel, they should update their waiting time on their website or app during lunch hour each day, and maybe offer kiosk or table ordering at the tables, and have servers deliver the drinks / food. We waited in line for a good 30-45 minutes.. I understand this place is iconic, but they could have a much cleaner, smoother operation with some organization.

What can I say? A local tradition and place of excellence. Try the Macho Nachos or the Cheddar Cheezy burger. You won't regret it. They use the tastiest cheddar! Oh, and their fries are pure bliss. Chris we miss you!!! But the spirit lives on.

How can you not love these incredible diet busting behemoths? There is a reason these are pretty much the most popular burger in town. They're freaking amazing. They are not fancy artisan Waygu beef burgers, but just really amazing old school burgers with some great twists, like the bean burgers. I'm convinced these are cooked on the same that grill that's been used for fifty years and it imparts all that amazing flavor to the burger. Eat on my friends!!

We had lunch there and the burger was dry on Wednesday. We were disappointed because we loved the food two years ago when everything was delicious. One of the servers asked how we enjoyed our food so we explained that this was our second visit and Before we could leave he brought us a coupon for a free meal. We used it today and everything was good as before. You must eat there when in San Antonio, TX. I give 5 stars. Thanks for the meal Chris Madrid, it was delicious.

We absolutely love this place. In fact, we always eat there when we have relatives in from other states or countries.
This burger joint is exactly what hamburger joints should be.

20 years ago this was the place to go for the best burgers around. Today, sadly the name is all there is. The burgers seem bland and over cheesed now. Sadly, the name has become legendary, but the food is now dull and forgotten. When we sat at our table, there were bird droppings that we had to clean ourselves and we had to call way ahead of time to get an order for 15. Fortunately, the order was accurate, but never once did we ever get a visit from staff to see if we needed anything.

Best burger in San Antonio!!! Nachos are amazing! Great place to kick back and watch a game or catch up with friends. Lines get long but its well worth the wait every time.

Great burgers and fries! Get the classic Cheddar Cheezy, the burger with so much cheddar it cannot be contained.
The only problem with this place is it's always busy! It can be hard to find a table, but what do you expect from a place with excellent food?response / report this review -

Good burger, but their macho (1/2 lb) is smaller than what I know it should be. unless, they are considering the whole burger four the weight of 1/2 lb. Good fries, very tasty. Drink is smallmeaning having to repeatedly get up for refill. Good atmosphere and a relaxing environment. Yes, we shall return one day.
