Inexpensive and clean room. About the normal level of quality I've come to expect from LaQuinta. Great night's rest.
1st room smelled like preppy from dogs but problem was fixed right away. Hotel is very nice. Front desk informed us they will replace carpets after X-Mas. Rooms for pets will have floors.. Great!!!!
We stayed there twice. Excellent service from the front desk the first time, and just ok the second. Ultimately, the rooms were clean and fast to get to from your car. I requested a room close to the lobby on the first floor, and I was given it. Second time we were there, the girl at the desk had a really hard time telling us where to park to get to our room. I could not understand her directions. She should have just said, "Park by the pool and enter there." Also, we were given two room keys that didn't work from her. But she did fix that and then bring us an extra blanket in the middle of the night when we asked for one. So there are only little things to complain about. Pets always stay free at La Quinta, so that's huge! We would ultimately stay there again!
The Hotel was comfortable and cozy. I do wish they had a better set up for device chargers though. My family did enjoy our stay.
I have no complaints about this place. Bed was Very Comfortable! The Continental breakfast was delicious and has eggs, sausage, gravy, cereal and more. The staff was very helpful and friendly!
My wife and I have been staying in this hotel for over ten years during our frequent trips between Texas and Florida. This used to be a nice, clean, well staffed hotel. I'm sad to say that isn't true any longer. The young man behind the front desk seemed annoyed that he had to check us in. This hotel was being remodeled inside and our room was covered in construction dust and the carpets in the hallways and in the room were filthy. There was actually a dirty footprint on the carpet in our room. There was garbage in the parking lot and the hotel has generally become rundown.
We evacuated during Irma and had the blessing of finding this hotel when I was tired and not able to drive any longer. Stopped and asked Jennifer if for some miracle they had a room available, at the time my toddler was also sick and we were traveling with our dog. Jennifer was very amaible and understanding of our situation and found a room for us. The staff in the hotel was always friendly and always with a smile, which was what we needed after a long trip from FL and scared of loosing our property THANK you La Quinta - Spanish Town AL for everything you did for us.
From this point on the only hotel I will be planning to use will ve La Quinta, as long as they keep their pet policy :)
Nice people but hotel needs upgrading. Beds were tempurpedic and the room was spacious. Breakfast included, and the hotel was dog friendly. Not a bad overnight stay.
The room is big and staff are very friendly. However, since it's a pet friendly hotel, my bed is full of dog smelling. It is just literally smell like I'm sleeping with dog. The breakfast selection is very limited if you arrive late.
No hot water. Management unconcerned. Lousy breakfast.
We stay here almost everytime we drive from Texas to Florida, and love it. Nice, new, and in a great area with lots of restaurants nearby - plus we can bring the dog, which helps a lot! Decent breakfast.
Loved this hotel! Staff was friendly and knew what they were doing, made great recommendations on food and sites to see. Room was very clean and spacious vaulted ceilings and huge bed with new mattress. Clean and very well cared for. Breakfast was great and there was plenty of room for our fur babies to walk and do their business. We will definitely stay here again and were sorry we didn't have this hotel to pack up and take with us. Love it!
Nearby neighborhood is upscale, near a mall with lots of restaurants. Hotel is basic, but well maintained and rooms clean. Breakfast was fresh and good. Better than other La Quintas we have stayed at nearby. 5 stars due to economy of low price and I felt safe going to pick up dinner alone
I deliver tourist magazines here, so I don't actually work for the hotel, but I don't get to see the rooms or rates or anything. However, this is one of my favorite stops in Baldwin County. The front desk workers are always very nice and polite. The lobby is always clean and welcoming. This hotel is across from the Malbis mall, right off the interstate, minutes from Mobile, and about an hour from the gulf beaches. Plenty of dining and shopping. The hospital isn't too far away and there are a couple of theaters nearby. If I needed a hotel and has to pick, this would be one of my top three.
