Very nice clean room near the airport. Airport shuttle was very handy! Free breakfast in the morning. There are a few restaurants close by to get a bite to eat. Comfortable beds and pillows. Will stay again next time. Great location if you're planning an early flight out Detroit Wayne airport.

Clean, comfey, fast check in, huge showers, quiet. Food bar needs help. Not real clean during week. Could use more variety like biscuits and gravy, waffle maker

The hall that was rented was clean and the staff was very helpful and greeted everyone with a smile that arrived. The entrance was clean aswell as the the hallway very is to find and also great watching the plans fly by. Overall had a great experience at La Quinta..

The room was large and recently updated. This is one of the nicer la Quinta hotels I have stayed at. It's a little work out but probably due to all the traffic since it is next to the airport. The bathroom was large and nice. They even had a disposable makeup remover towelette. Nice touch! TV is small BUT there is a really good sized refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Plus the WiFi is free and there is complimentary breakfast! I definitely think this is a great place to stay for the price. They also have complimentary shuttles to and from the airport every 30 min all day!

This hotel itself is nice. The staff is friendly and checked me into my room quickly. My room was clean and updated. I didn't wake up in time to try the free breakfast. I have taken one star off because the hotel is very loud from the jets coming in to land at DTW.

It was better than I expected. Clean, comfortable, respectful staff. There is a delicious restaurant next to the hotel which I loved. The only thing was getting there from the airport, I needed help from the airport staff to call the shuttle bus. But everything else was great.

the location was perfect with gas stations, restaurants and its right off the free way. the rooms were clean and the service was excellent. also breakfast was better than what I would usually expect at the other La Quinta that I have been to with the exception of the location in down town Chicago. but i am satisfied.

We checked in quite late only to find that one of the coverletts had multiple blood spots all over it, and there was evidence of dried "bodily fluids" on the bed skirts. They did upgrade us to a "suite" (2 rooms with the previous dividing door now just a room door" which allowed us to have 2 bathrooms.) It was clean, but did need some general care such as fully attaching the one shower handle. Breakfast, more products from a prepackaged source than not. Just generally not impressed. Do not usually use La Quinta, and will be very hesitant to use again

Pros: Cheap. Staff was kind. The location was easy to find. It was nice to have a mini fridge and a microwave in my room. Cons: The outlet was messed up in my room. They did not have decaf coffee or tea. Planes fly over very close and are loud.

Checked in late, toilet would not flush on arrival, and staff (rude) said I would have to plunge it myself. Went to use bathroom on lobby floor and that was extremely dirty. Really disappointed.

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was at 530 which allowed me to grab a quick bite before heading to the airport. Coffee was weak and the breakfast selection was tiny. 4/5 Would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel when attending a Lion's game. This was a great option and turned out to be a blessing considering people were waiting 2+ hours to check into their hotels in downtown Detroit. A quick check in and we were in the room. This place just did a beautiful renovation and the rooms are pretty impressive for the price. The bed is super comfortable and the refrigerator and microwave are a nice perk to the room.
The only bad thing about this hotel is the lack of detail the cleaning staff seems to have. The shower had mildew in it and there were obvious dirty spots on the walls/doorway in the bathroom. We only stayed a night and did not take showers in the morning since we were headed home but still.. when someone obviously pays a lot of money to renovate a hotel it seems like they would have staff that wanted to maintain it.
We stayed on the bottom floor and didn't hear a single plane fly over (this place is really close to the airport). They had us on the third floor upon check in, but after reading the reviews about the planes I simply asked for the first or second floor and it wasn't a problem.
Definitely a good place for the money. We like to stay places that are not *too* cheap (you definitely get what you pay for) but don't like to break the bank for a good nights sleep either. The $95 was well worth it.response / report this review
