The Last Quinta was very nice and up kept. The staff was very friendly. I did have an issue with my card key not working but they got it fixed right away. Plus the breakfast was delicious.
When I got here on Sunday it looked decent and when I got off the elevator I was overwhelmed with cigarette and weed smoke. I went to the front desk and they were nice enough to move us to a different floor. I appreciate that, but the issue now is the that the people across from me have a dog that barks throughout the night, and the person above me is either really overweight or the just don't know how to walk and they are stomping throughout the night (I mean at three am to five am). I guess if you are wanting a pet friendly place this is OK for you. But I don't like pet hairs in my clothes and the smell. If you want to smoke in your room this is for you until December 1st when they said it will be smoke free on the inside. I did like the firm bed in my second room. The shower has like mold or mildew on the ceiling. But the customer service has been good so far that is where the stats are coming from.
The check in was perfect. Hotel room very clean and just what we needed. I can't say enough about how nice the front desk attendants are.
Needed a place to sleep on our way from Dayton to Clearwater. Showed up at 2am the man attending the desk was great, he even made sure we had a parking spot because the hotel was full. Room was nice and clean. No signs of bed bugs (we always check). We headed out at 10am checkout wasn't until 11am. Great place for a road nap.
This hotel is dirty and needs a major remodel. They also shouldn't allow people to have parties in the rooms and make noise until 2 in the morning. Very uncomfortable experience.
Value. Clean and comfortable. Better than most hotels in this lower price range.
For a Hurricane Irma refugee passing through ATL with 2 little dogs this place was great! I especially want to thank Janet at the front desk who very helpful. Thank you LaQuinta!
This particular La Quinta is situated slightly off a main road with access to many different kinds of food. Though the building itself is a bit outdated and crumbling, the place is clean and quiet. The room I stayed in (a single king bed) was rather nice and even an office setup attached. My only gripe is that my non-smoking room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke, though this may be because the interiors haven't been updated since smoking indoors was phased out.
Comfortable sleep, hot water.Basically.clean;however, I recommend they invest in the overall appearance and.upkeep.cracks in the bathroom wall and the wear and.tear.of the elevator floor takes away from the experience. Nice workout space.
Had a great stay. When the AC stopped working maintenance was there in 10 minutes. Everything we asked of the staff was quickly done. Breakfast was good and the room was clean.
My experience was wonderful. Wendy was very friendly checking us in. The pool and jacuzzi are very nice. The room was large and came with a microwave and refrigerator. Very clean. Will be booking again soon
The only reason I give it four stars instead of 5 is that it was an older Hotel. Otherwise, it was great and the staff was very friendly. Decent pool and rooms.
Room was decent and the lady that checked us in was nice. We realized we left a rather important item in the room a few days after leaving. When we called, we were first told we'd have to speak to the house keeping supervisor. When I called back, the front desk said that was incorrect and that there was no record of the item/no one knew anything about it. The lady said it would have been turned in and logged in the book but there was nothing logged for our room. I realize we should have done a room check before leaving, but we slipped up. Had hoped the item would have been turned in, but I guess not.
So I love La Quinta the brand. This location DOES NOT do La Quinta any justice. This location was sketchy. The girl at the front desk was discriminatory to me as an individual with a physical disability. I have a emotional support animal that is trained and has the proper documents. I was questioned about the dog and given "Pet policy" paperwork. A service animal for a person with a disability is a reasonable accommodation per the ADA and is not a pet and should not be discriminated against unless the service animal presents a nuisance. This was not the case. I had a migraine and really couldn't think and she was trying to have me fill out paperwork and I told her I couldn't. She gave me MORE paperwork and asked if I could complete it. She sounded quite condescending. This place allows smoking and put us next to room 420, of course which reeked of pot. Our room smelled bad and had cigarette burns on the walls. My husband has asthma and went to talk to the staff who did not offer to move us. He had to suggest that we be moved. They were blasé about the smell and complacent. The new room had bits of tissue on the carpet like it hadn't been vacuumed. The lamp shades were crooked. There was toothpaste on the sink and wall! The tub wall was cracked, the stopper didn't plug the water so , couldn't have a bath. The sink had the chrome coming off the drain. The drains gurgle when another room flushed their toilet. This is actually only the second worst La Quinta we have stayed in. The other being in Queens, NYC in a crappy neighborhood. So seriously, spend your money at a different La Quinta nearby because this one does not care a lot about the things La Quinta stands for such as quality, hospitality and convenience. They also had a sign about people stealing things from the La Quinta and the price was about a 300% mark up. Why not present a paper list upon check in and have the desk attendant explain the policy and costs and have someone sign it instead of basically an advertisement about how crappy that location is in each room? It really is a shame because it has generally nice decor, originally. It just seems the owner and management doesn't care about upholding the value of the name of the La Quinta brand.
Fortunately the bed was super comfy, the room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The hotel could stand to use an update and my room and hallway on the 4th floor smelled like stale cigarettes. I travel with a dog and am thankful for hotels like this that allow dogs without much problem. I agree with another reviewer that the form you have to fill out is a little ridiculous. I had to initial a line that said my well trained, housebroken, non-destructive, quiet dog wasn't over 40 lbs. She is 65lbs and seriously, why is this a thing? Just have us sign that we'll be held accountable for any damages just like if someone were to smoke in their room. Also, a simple suggestion to help people pick up after their pets (which this hotel has a serious problem with) would be to establish the large grassy area as the pet area and put out a trash can and poop bag holder. This hotel overall was not worth the $100 I paid. The Red Roof (which also allows dogs to stay free) the night before for $60 was much better.
