Not impressed. The room was clean and comfortable and allowing dogs is ok, but when we were leaving we ran into a man with a couple of pit bulls that were growling . I was astonished . Also the "free breakfast " only last until 9am. Not all vacationers are up by then. I can see 10 or 10:30. Needless to say we will not be back

Experienced the best night of sleep in a hotel that I can remember. Clean comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Stayed here for 3 nights to attended sister's graduation from Basic at Fort Jackson. It's close to the Fort and lots of restaurants and stores. The breakfast spread was good. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. They gave directions to the Fort and suggestions on where to eat. The only reason I can't give this a full 5 is more a personal experience with an allergy to the detergent they wash their towels and sheets in, that wasn't their fault but it effected my stay. Aside from that it's a good safe place to stay on a budget.

Far from the nicest La Quinta we have stayed in and we have stayed in many. We have stayed in many La Quinta’s as we always travel with our cat. This location is one of two that are near a military base, which we suppose accounts for it’s very poor condition and very low quality! But personally I think that our military deserves better and La Quinta also needs to realize that this is a VERY nice college town! Perhaps La Quinta could add a third location of a MUCH HIGHER QUALITY to this town!!!!! Because we will never be back to this one! BUT we will be back to Columbia a LOT! This furniture is very dirty and worn, don’t even want to sit on this terrible smelly sofa and we are very embarrassed that our granddaughter is sleeping on the sofa bed. She said it is like there is no mattress at all on it it is so thin and cheap! The blanket has holes and KNIFE CUT marks in it! My husband is severely handicapped and it is hard for me to move all of our stuff or I would move all of us out of this hole! The bathroom is divided in two and VERY user UNFRIENDLY! We would recommend you stay somewhere else! HIGHLY!!!

Very nice, clean hotel! Polite and courteous staff. Continental breakfast was very good, even had a make your own waffle station with all the fixings you would want.

Excellent front desk staff. Arrived late last night after driving over 11 hours from Florida. Couldn't have been greeted by 2 friendlier people than the guy and gal and the front desk. Gracious, kind and very helpful.

We went to South Carolina for the eclipse this past weekend and really enjoyed our stay. We had big rooms and really comfortable beds. The staff were amazing the entire time. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a wide variety of options. Rooms were clean, pool was clean. All around, great stay.

My experience at the hotel was standard, no complaints. The hotel is "tired" but it appears that they are in the process of remodeling. Our check-in/check-out process was seamless. Great value for the price paid. The rooms were clean and quiet. I would've hoped that there would be more area to walk my pup since La Quinta is pet-friendly. The area around the parking lot where there was grass was a bit sketchy. The customer service and hotel itself were good. I would visit again, if in the area.

I recently stayed here and firstly the room was not bad it was clean. However the hall way smelled terrible, like animal. The only really enjoyable part of this experience was the lady who helped serve breakfast. Probably won't be staying here again.

As soon as i walked into my room It smelled musty but the room was clean including the bathroom. Wi-Fi sucked. I stayed two nights and each night I saw a bug in my room. First night there was a huge cockroach in my bathroom. Second night there was a dead cockroach on my floor by my bed. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The pool was great and clean. The parking lot is very small.
