The hotel is in an unsafe area for starters. When walking into our room there was an unpleasant smell and we had to spray cologne to mask the smell. The carpets are beyond dirty. The bedding had a few dirty spots and most of the furniture was beat up and old. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay at this hotel. The pictures on the website make them look nice but they are outdated and disgusting. I've stayed in other LaQuintas and was pleased but I was very disappointed in this particular one. Will not be reserving a room here ever again.

Great stay, easy on and off the freeway. There is a great Mexican restaurant there just two lots over, 30 second walk. The place was packed! Lots of locals go there so you know itʻs authentic and gREAT!

My experience was made very nice by the two desk clerks who helped me so much and were very kind to this old woman traveling without my husband! Room was clean and nice, bed was extra comfy and I will certainly be back!! Thank you very much La Quinta, you never disappoint!!

I have stayed at this hotel countless times as I travel frequently for work. The front desk is ALWAYS so welcoming, sweet and some of them even know be by name when I walk in..that is how often I am in Austin traveling. I have NEVER had a bad or unpleasant stay here, not once! And I have stayed at some pretty ratty hotels across the country. The whole place is clean, friendly all the way down to the hospitality crew who are cleaning the roomsthey always have a smile on their faces and say hello or good morning. They do happy hour/manager appreciation with their guests every night for a couple of hours and it is just wonderful to have that high of standards.
I am staying here tonight and I wanted to give recognition to Iris who is currently working the front desk as we speakshe is AMAZING. She bent over back words for me for my room requests, she remembered my name when I came out to get some snacks, said hello to me as I walked in and out of my room for whatever reason and was just very pleasant. I have never worked in any position at a hotel and I am sure it is not the easiest job, just as working with the general public is no cake walk and some people are just so rude and mean to employees when there is no need for it but Iris takes it to the next level with her customer service as do every other employee that I have encountered with all my stays here.
LaQuinta in North Austin however you are finding your employees, keep it up! You have hit a goldmine.response / report this review -

Loved our room! It was really nice and clean. Just don’t expect to have much of a view. You’ll be looking at the freeway. Which didn’t matter to us because we just wanted a safe place to rest our head. And it’s within walking distance of Applebee’s and Buffalo Wild Wings. So that was a plus! 😊 Very nice looking place, definitely recommend.

Great location - as in close to all of the freeways. Rates are decent. Overall accommodations are good. If you’re looking to explore Austin there are better options. Try the la Quinta by the domain. If you are looking for a location that is accessible to downtown, the airport, or the domain, then this is your spot.

My dad stays here when he visits Austin. He finds the rooms comfortable and he enjoys the breakfast. We live in the Chevy Chase Apartments so my dad likes the convenience.

Very nice employees and my room was very clean. It is an older hotel, but still nice for a short stay. They even have a happy hour nightly with drinks and food.

I would actually rate this hotel 4 1/2 stars if that were an option. The room and the bed were spacious and comfortable. The staff was terrific. We didn't try the pool, but the jacuzzi was wonderful after a long day of driving. They had an evening reception with chips, nacho fixings, and guacamole, although you were limited to 2 drinks/sodas. The breakfast was just okay, with breakfast burritos, DIY waffles, muffins, bagels, some fruit, cereal, etc. But they did have 1% and 2% milk which was a plus. I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are large, clean and well-equipped, with both a desk with chair and a lounger. Breakfast was a step up from the typicsk, with premed cheese omelets. Express checkout made the morning rush easy.

Excellent end to our vacation! Very clean and beautiful hotel. Awesome pool and the towels outside is a great plus. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. We love La Quinta in general but this was always exceptional.

Great happy hour with (alcohol) drinks and good food. Everything you want in a room, decent pool and hot tub. You can spend a whole lot more and get so much less.

The customer service here is impeccable! We came to town for the Lonestar Roundup Car Show and had a truck with a trailer to haul my classic. Jackie made sure we were fine with our parking situation, that even had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and was just so friendly and accommodating! Also the desk clerk Vanessa was very friendly and helped us with some items that we needed to make our stay better. The room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. The rate I received on Hot wire made it even better! I would recommend a stay here.
