We went to the resort b/c we evacuated due to the fires near us. Their policy is one pet per room. These great people waived that policy for evacuees. I thought that was great. The rooms were nice, clean and I had a comfy bed!!
We evacuated our home due to a wildfire. I called and made a reservation first. Cindy was very calm and helpful over the phone. When I arrived at check in I realized the immense pressure she and her co worker were under. There were at least 8 walk in customers, constant incoming phone calls, and the ladies handled it all with professionalism and grace. Our room was fine, breakfast was hot and the area was kept clean. We even had time to visit the fitness center. The pool was very inviting.
We booked our stay via Legoland and got a fair price. This no-frills hotel is a convenient 20-minute drive from the theme park and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. There’s ample on-premises parking. Service was friendly and attentive. We left early the next day but still managed to avail of breakfast before heading out. The name is a bit misleading because the place is nowhere near the water.
AC doesn't work, the coldest the room gets is 70(and weirdly humid). We also took the complimentary shuttle to Lego Land and were explicitly told that the shuttle does round-trips every 15 minutes while being first-come first-serve. When we went to the pickup area at the end of the day we were told you have to call for a shuttle and that it's not first-come first-serve. We had to take an Uber back. Edit: changed my 2 star to a 1 star; our sheets were soaked by me young cousin spilling a water bottle and we requested a new comforter. They brought us fitted sheets. We called again and asked, very specifically, for a comforter. They brought us fitted sheets. This is the lowest quality service I have ever received at a "resort". I would give a 0 star if I could.
The resort was close to everything we wanted to do - beaches, outlet mall, and plenty of places to eat! Rooms were very clean and staff was fantastic. The grounds around the hotel are gorgeous and very relaxing. The front desk was helpful with any questions, and the rest of the staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The rate for our room was better than reasonable, especially since continental breakfast was provided at no additional charge. I'd stay here again for sure!
This place is what it is; you don't rent a Corolla hoping to get a Porsche. It is not a hotel or a resort, it is a motel. The grounds and rooms are dated and the rooms do have an old school smell to them but the beds are fine and the pool is clean. Yes the outside needs some work and the inside needs some work but for the price it's fine. No sign of bugs or hair everywhere, maybe some dust around the fan but it's a bed to sleep in. While I would probably stay here again if I felt like being a little thrifty I would also probably opt to save a little more money before my vacation and get a nicer hotel next time.
This is use to be an Anderson Split Pea chain. It was under new management for just a week when we stayed. They are fixing up the place. It was quaint, with a homie feel. Very family oriented, with area for kids to run where you feel safe. Rooms were clean and the staff was very eager to help and very friendly. I will come back if I stay in this area.
Very affordable and close to Legoland. Definitely not modern or updated in any way and I would've given it two stars if not for the pool. The pool was a great time for the family. Breakfast was a little busy but to be expected at the time we went. The hotel has more of a motel feel with how you get to your room, IMO. Also in a great spot for shopping and restaurants.
Fairly standard resort with continental breakfast. The breakfast had enough to make a breakfast sandwich with an English muffin or bagel. Other options were limited cereal, yogurt and some fruit. We did experience an issue where the air conditioner didn't work and they were unable to fix it until the shuttle driver/maintenance man was done with Lego Land shuttle duty. Rooms were clean. Facilities were average with a tiny business center, an outdoor pool, and breakfast area. They had free WiFi which is pretty standard now.
Unbelievably beautiful views of the Pacific! Super close to the beach , shopping, but nice & quiet. I think you may need to differentiate from the other negative posts as to who stayed in the hotel and who stay at the resort? The resort side is amazing (may be harder to stay in depending on the time of year) and the rooms are large and spacious. We had choices of pillows, hard or soft ones and had about 10 in our suite for four people! Sorry! Our balcony had three chairs and lounge chair & a round table.
The resort suites come with a full kitchen including a stove and just enough sets of dishes for a party of six!
The resort was great. The rooms were big and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was about what you would expect. The walk to Legoland was not to bad. It was faster to walk rather than wait for the shuttle. The biggest let down was the free internet. It was not fast at all. You had to reconnect each time after waking up your device.
I loved this hotel. Super cute and clean. Really nice rooms for a really great price. I wanna give 5 stars but they do really loud yard work outside your door at 8 30 am. That is NOT okay when you're on vacation. Also girls at the front desk could have been nicer, not rude just not warm and friendly. I would stay at again but I can be woken up at 8am at home. Keep that in mind if you like to sleep past 830 on vacation.
Rooms very clean. We were right next to the pool. Walking distance to shopping, dinning, and area attractions. Only downer was The lack of breakfast assortment. It was the same thing every day. Would have been nice to have a little more variety. Other than that it was a great place to stay.
Great location for business as well as pleasure. Very quiet, nicely appointed rooms. Due to taking the state rate we were located on the back side of the hotel and were not even bothered by the trains. All amenities were great, exercise room was spacious, breakfast was also very diverse in terms of selections
Friendly, helpful staff. Great shuttle drivers clean rooms. On this visit, housekeeping for forgot to replenish our towels. They were very quick to correct the situation. The only real negative for this place is the breakfast. Even if they put in self-service waffle makers, change up the fruit selection and just went a little higher quality on the egg it would make all the difference in the world. The danishes were very low quality and the eggs actually made us feel uncomfortable after eating both days. Only one member of the family wasn't ill and she did not eat the eggs.
