The guy was friendly and the room was great. They even had a little coffee pot with some coffee, creamer and sugar.

This they tell me is a historic place but in my mind it is just a simple place to stay. It will be clean but there are no breakfast no lunch no amenities. You have a bed and a shower air conditioning in the summer heat in the winter. Most of the decorous set in the sixties and seventies Style. I've stayed here several times it's not a luxury motel but it is a nice place to stay.

The hosts are really nice. The rooms are a flashback to the 70's, in a good way. Very clean and comfortable.
For me, a sign of a well maintained room is bathroom caulking. No signs of shabby upkeep.
Definitely will be back.

We had a great stay. Room was big and comfortable. Super clean and updated. I would definitely recommend this place. We came in town to ride the train to Petersburg it was a a great trip. Even had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Only thing missing was a hairdryer. Nice and quiet too.

My family spent a wonderful summer weekend at this motel. It's conveniently located for a boat trip through the Trough on the South Branch of the Potomac. We found the motel beautifully maintained, the rooms reasonably priced, and staff helpful with all our requests!

I love the Koolwink. When I am in the area I always stay there. I always request to stay up on the hill. I like being a little further back off the road.
The Koolwink is very clean. The rooms are comfortable and there is plenty of space. The room has a mini frig , microwave and coffee pot.
I enjoy sitting out on the balcony in the evening and early morning. It is very pleasant. There are picnic tables available too. The staff are always so helpful and pleasant.
The Koolwink is a 60ish type motel with the style and decor to match. It is like stepping back in time but you do have wifi and flat screen TV's so no worries. The power chargers for electronics next to the beds are a nice addition too.
If you are in the Romney area, I highly recommend the Koolwink.

I have stayed at this motel numerous times throughout the past 4 years. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. They are bigger than most hotel rooms which is great because I have 4 smaller children that I normally bring with me!!! Great place to stay!
