We loved the host, his amazing meals and the inn was nice. It's right on the side of a mountain like most of West Virginia which gives great views but the yards were average since they were on the side of a steep hill. Nice but not much outside other than a great porch. We didn't do the hike that adjoins the prperty so that could be cool!

This lodge is GREAT! My wife and I stayed here a few nights a couple of years ago. The lodge has a lot of stuff to do while you are staying there. The owners and staff were great and made our stay feel very homey.

Wonderful experience at the Inn. Food was excellent and timely. Innkeeper's cooking and tastes are amazing! The hideaway cabin was perfect for us and our dogs. Plenty of space and quiet for us. We loved it and will definitely be back.

Long story short - Ed and Carol were very kind and accommodating to me and my mother in an unusual circumstance. The Inn is BEAUTIFUL in a remote and beautiful setting. Our stay was short (just 10 hours), but we got to enjoy endless stars; cookies, peaches, and other gifts awaiting us in the room; wonderfully comfortable room and bed; and hot coffee and breakfast bread waiting as we checked out early.

Perfect for romantic get away or family get away - I hope to return once my children are old enough to enjoy the fishing, climbing, and hiking in the area.

Suites were excellent, the food sublime. Hiking was fantastic and the weather and changing leaves set the perfect mood to relax and unwind. The owners are friendly and incredibly accomodating.

I went to North fork mountain Inn for dinner with my girlfriend. The view is lovely and the Inn has a nice homey ambiance. The service for our meal was warm and friendly. The food and wine were decent but not great. One of our courses, for example, consisted of 2 pot sticker dumpling straight out of a Costco freezer, along with bottled sweet Thai chili sauce. It's the kind of food that tastes good, but doesnt really count as a home cooked meal. The wine with dinner was doled out in sips and was cheap stuff too. Given the $130 tab for 2 people, I left feeling that the friendly proprietors had taken advantage of me.

I love this place!! My fiancé and I came to celebrate our dating/engagement anniversary and want to come back for our honeymoon in the fall. Carol and Ed are fantastic host's and the meals they prepare are incredible. The views of the sky from the hot tub at night are phenomenal. I can't wait to come back!

What a gem! Discovered this place on MLK weekend and was welcomed warmly, booking only hours before arrival. Clean, comfortable, many amenities, kind owners, beautiful views, what more could you want? I will be back for sure and highly recommend staying here. It`s easy to stay more than a night here.
