Small casino but is spacious with table games. You really have to be motivated to find it behind the retail stores. Not as sad as many casinos.

I'm from out of town, been hear for a few months due to work. So I've been to Mardi Gras Casino on a number of occasions. The food is really good there at all locations within the Casino, but you see an enormous amount of sad faces as you walk through the Casino. I believe this is due to people not being able to WIN anything much. You should gamble here for fun only. I think they have perfected how to take your money.

Like this casino, my favorite part is NO SMOKING!! Great table games that are at a good minimum bet. I think 5 bucks for blackjack. Good video machines and not overly crowded. They have dog races on Friday and Saturday night. Nice hotel, never stayed there, but it's fairly new and the rates look affordable. Plenty of parking and easy entry and exit. Not as good as Vegas, but way better than Cherokee casino.

We went for the Friday Seafood buffet. We live close and have never needed a reservation. We were told it would be a 2 hour wait as they were overbooked. There were 15 empty tables for the 40 minutes we waited, nobody was seated the entire time. The food was not changed or touched in that time either. This used to be a nice place to eat. The employees at the podium were friendly, but I think they were shorthanded not overbooked.not sure how you overbook a buffet.

My girlfriend and I had went there for are first time.. we walked in and loved the casino. Then when we ate.. it took 45 minutes to get our food, they made mine twice then the 3rd it was still wrong. After that we went to get drinks waited for 20 minutes. Nice casino but customer service sucks big time..

Had a great time here with a large group of friends. Everyone there was very helpful and nice. Dealers were absolutely awesome especially Trisha and Amanda! And as for food I actually only ate breakfast while I was here but that was delicious.

I personally am not much of a gambler. But I could be called a foodie. Mardi Gras Casino and Resort has numerous places to choose from when you're hungry. The buffet here is amazing, but not open all the time. This place has burger and fries, a good cafeteria, and even steaks and prime rib. If your gambling, this place is a no brainer. If you're just eating, you still cannot do wrong here.

Mardi Gras Casino is a great place to visit fun gambling and watching the dog races. Is also a great place to bring your family. The resort has a pool so you can bring your kids great food at the restaurant just overall a great experience.

This is by far one of my favorite casinos to visit whenever I am anywhere near Charleston, WV. The machines are usually VERY generous to me! Staff is always polite. Next time through I plan on making time to visit the eateries within. I'm not really into it, but they have a good variety of table games, as well as greyhound races. Love this place!

Service was good. Join the players club. You'll get up to $20 credit. Staff were friendly and helpful. First time being there and I'd go again. I'm not real big on going to these types of places, but I'd go again given the chance.

This Casino sucks! I never win here. This Casino is happy to take every penny you got and give nothing back.

Best casinos close by are Jack Casino in Cincinnati,OH or Hollywood Casino in Columbus, OH. I actually win good there from time to time making it more fun unlike Mardi Gras casino in Charleston, WV, they take the fun away from gambling by giving you a 0 chance of winning. Don't go there you heard it here first.

Great place to burn a few extra dollars. Nice amenities and the food isn't too bad. The casino it's self could use a few upgrades but not bad for West Virginia. Would deffiently consider staying again!

Old but clean. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. Old machines in casino but some were ok to play. Enjoyed the greyhounds racing. Hotel was a little to expensive. There's lots of better casinos to go to where you can win big. I will not be going back.

Just like every year the place was perfect. We have such a great time here. The breakfast is awesome, the food selection, room and quality, and cleanliness is great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is just right and the slot machine selection was impressive as well. I will definitely be back again as I have said for the past 4 years! 😀

I went there just to play poker. The dealers are really great at what they do and friendly. The tables are nice, and they chairs are comfortable enough. The bathroom downstairs in the poker room is on the nasty side. The ones upstairs on the main floor are much nicer. It also takes a really long time to get a drink, because the bar seems pretty understaffed. Overall, I enjoyed my experience there, but it's on the lower end of casinos.
