Soothing atmosphere and great staff, but quite expensive.

Love this place! The staff was always kind and professional. The atmosphere is just what I needed; clean, soothing and relaxing. I no longer live in the area but when I'm passing through; I'll pay you a visit.

First things first, the best services at kneaded relief is their massages. I have done some spa services with them and I am most impressed with their massage staff. Maria (the owner) is the absolute best. She's always booked up so be prepared to wait. She is so knowledgeable of body mechanics and the surrounding muscles. I never leave feeling like "eh, did I even get a massage?"

As for the pedicures and manicures, I probably wouldn't go here just because I know it is not what they specialize in and they are pricey in that department. But the atmosphere is SO relaxing (which for a spa is huge). Whatever service you decide on you will not be disappointed.

    Absolute best in Madison.
Duke is one of the owners and definitely adds to the positive interactions!
The front desk/scheduling folks are still growing their customer service skills, but none of that registers after you experience a massage done by one of the tenured massage therapists here. WOW. Very nicely done and worth every penny.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The building is beautiful, close to my house, the staff is nice most of the time, prices can be a bit high but if the service is good I am fine with it. I've been going to this spa for over 6 years. I get a gift card from my husband's company every year. I've done nail polish, manicure, pedicure, massage, foot relaxation massage, waxing. My problem is that every time I go I don't know what to expect. The service can range from fine to mediocre and the spa does not seem to care about costumer satisfaction. They don't make you feel special, the foot massage pressure was the worst, the nail polish ladies can be rude. I don't like to leave bad reviews but what else I can do?! I did a massage 2 days ago and when I left I felt that I needed another massage. Did not had the ahhh feeling. I am going to suggest my husband's company to buy the gift cards from another place.

Unlike any spa you'll ever go to. The therapists are so attentive and truly listen to your specific needs. They have a special waiting room that is so relaxing!! Duke and Nichol have built a great relaxing destination! It may be a small business, but they'll big things there.

Prices are expensive. I paid $67 plus tip for a french pedicure. I would not recommend this spa for pedicures. Mine was chipped in less than 24 hours. The building is beautiful and the staff are nice, but services are not worth the price. You can get quality work for much less with other companies.

If I could give this establishment ZERO stars I would. This review is a long time coming and I wish that I would've written it sooner. Each time I think about it it makes me sick to my stomach
My best friend and I went for massages the morning of her wedding. During the middle of my massage the therapist (Erica Sain) took my diamond necklace off. She didn't ask if she could and didn't say anything when she did it, but I've had my jewelry removed before when getting a massage so didn't think much of it. I was trying to relax, obviously, and had a lot on my mind as it was a huge day for my best friend and I was quite nervous about having to give my speech at the reception. After the hour passed and my massage was complete, I got dressed and my friend and I hurried off to get ready for the ceremony. I wasn't even thinking of my necklace until I went to get dressed and realized that the woman never gave it back to me. I called in immediately and gave the therapist's name and my appointment time and told them I forgot my necklace and that I'd like to come back to pick it up. They placed me on hold and when they returned to the phone told me that the therapist reported that there was no jewelry left behind. I explained that she had taken it off my neck during my massage and never returned it to me. She would not admit that she took it. This was a $1000 diamond necklace given to my on my first wedding anniversary from my husband and meant the world to me. I hung up with them and called my husband, a little hysterical, to report what was going on. It dawned on me that the reason she didn't ask me if she could take it off was obviously because she had no intention of returning it. I asked my husband if he could call back and speak with a manager as we were trying to finish getting ready. The manager was not at all helpful and eventually ended up passing our call on to the owner of the company. He stuck up for the therapist completely, said that they had worked there for quite some time, wouldn't lie about taking a necklace and wouldn't steal from a client. They would not help us in any way. After the wedding I looked the therapist up on CCAP and found that she had a record of theft!

The hardest part was that we were still paying this necklace off and had to be reminded every month when we made the payment about this terrible experience. Moral of the story: DO NOT GO HERE! This business obviously does not do background checks on their employees and honors the employee's word vs the customer's.

I was only in the area for a few days on a short getaway trip with my husband, and I wanted to spend some time at a spa. Kneaded Relief was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Everyone was friendly, polite, and caring from the moment I stepped in the door to the moment I left. The therapists were very professional, gentle, and soothing, and my services left me feeling pampered, relaxed, and rejuvenated. Now I just wish this spa was closer to my hometown, so I could go regularly!
