Good food, decent prices, sometimes good staff. Their carryout prices are steep though so if you eat there then I'd advise you to come in and sit down.
My friend and I went to King's Chef on a Sunday night. Grab 2 to-go boxes and filled them up thinking it was gonna be cheaper than delivery.
Surprisingly, when we went to check out, the lady charged us $30.99! Yes, you read that correctly, $30.99! I couldn't believe it. I asked her why was this? She said they weigh and charge their food by pound. What a crazy amount of money for a medium-sized to-go box.
Unfortunately, my friend and I couldn't put the food back, so we had to buy. Never going back again. The food was pretty decent though, hence the 2 star rating.
Bottom Line: eat there in person or eat somewhere else because take-out is EXPENSIVE!
I've eaten at a good amount of Asian restaurants and buffets and will say that the service and food here is very, very good. Plenty of fresh options will leave you wishing for a larger plate however. Smaller plates just mean more trips and that's not necessarily a bad thing as you'll need the belt check anyways.
Chinese buffet is good. Sushi bar is good too. Reasonable price for the variety offered. Can get pretty busy at lunch time. Minimal contact with wait staff they bring drinks and are reasonable on staying on refills. Sometimes they want You to pay at the table and other times they have a line going at the register, I have never figutlred out the system and it has caused conflict with the staff before.
Good value for a variety of tastes. From a well anchored fresh made sushi bar, to tasty dishes of typical Asian fare with some American classics. Salads, fruits and desserts all included. Staple dishes are interspersed with some daily updates. Carryout available from both menu and buffet. Something for everyone.
Also wanted to mention handicap accessibility. The interior has lots of room, with booths and tables. Fairly easy to maneuver even with a wheelchair. Kids also like the fountain display.
This place is okay if you want pretty good food and lot of it. Lunch buffet menu is the same day in and day out. Black pepper chicken and the spicy chicken are really good. What shines here is the sushi bar believe it or not. For an all you can eat feature, the sushi made here is really tasty and fresh. Never disappointed in the variety or flavor.
Great food, great service, reasonable prices. There's nothing to dislike about this restaurant. Need a salad? They've got salad. Need a sugar fix? They have dessert too. It's one of the best places to eat in Warrensburg.
Doesn't look special from the outside. But hold on to your socks because once inside you are greeted by a lovely waterfall against the wall. You wait to be seated. It's very clean and the staff was phenomenal! The buffet is extremely well kept. As you enter the actual buffet, one cannot help but notice the 2 gigantic yet exquisite prism like chandeliers that grace the food selection!! There is a whole host of almost everything imaginable to eat so no one will walk away hungry. Delicious food!!!
I really like the sushi bar. I have loved King Chef for long time, even as my dietary requirements have changed. I highly recommend their take out and delivery service. If you are really hungry the buffet can't be beat. Oddly enough, my favorite item on the buffet is the green beans. I don’t know how they cook them but they are addicting. One thing I appreciate about this restaurant is that even though it is already extremely popular, they still work at improving. The most recent improvement is that you can place your carry out or delivery order online and have it ready at whatever time you choose. I can place my order at work and pick it up on the way home.
Food is good and the service it fine. One thing I love about this place is that I was staying late one night really late and they started cleaning. Then clean every nook and cranny of the seats and booths. they super clean the floor too. I was seriously impressed with their cleaning process and it made me like this place a lot more.
So now the best Chinese place in warrensburg King Chef, wants to charge an extra $4.00 for the food delivery service. It used to come free with a minimum $10.00 order. $4 extra dollars is a rip off. I just cancelled my order and called their competitors for dinner.
The best Chinese restaurant in Warrensburg. Prices are great, options and service are great and they always have fresh food. This is a must for a college student or someone just looking for a good dish.
Always a solid place to get a meal. Most drinks are included in the buffet price. The food is almost always piping hot and well cooked.
Fantastic coconut shrimp. Love the sushi, too (be sure to bring some change so you can tip the sushi chef). But everything is good, honestly. I always end up too full to try everything that looks good.
The sushi is delicious every time we visit. We try to go here every time we are in town which is usually a couple times a year and have not been disappointed yet. The rest of the food is mostly standard Chinese buffet fare, but tastes good. We are really picky so for this to be a favorite speaks highly. The place is usually very clean and not too loud or busy when we go in the mid or late afternoon. Service is fair. We usually have a really good time. It could use some better lighting and maybe some redecorating in the dining area.
Food is good but they are very rude. Hard to get out of booth so ask for table. they seat you in the back 40 while passing multiple empty tables. They want you to sit where they want you to should be able to sit wherever. Will never go there again!
Good food right price and the atmosphere is good to great varity on the buffet as well as being fresh
Food not very flavorful. Sort of bland compared to others I have had. everything seemed to taste the same. Also had some major stomach issues afterwards. Was disappointed as I have heard it was pretty good. Shrimp still had that black vein running through them. Just can't hack eating them unless they are deveined. Food was not fresh and trays were almost empty.
I had a wonderful experience here. We arrived just before 5:00 and the sushi bar was loaded with a variety of fresh maki. I was very pleased! And the price is low. I would recommend it.
Tuesday lunch at 11:30. Not crowded. Service was good. Waitress refilled our glasses 3 times. Food was ok. Not wonderful but good. Being on a smorgasbord, it wasn't hot but certainly warm enough, EXCEPT soup. IT WAS HOT!.
