Stay away. Horrible campsite. Just kidding. This campsite is awesome! It's a couple mile hike. Unless you come in via boat. Very worth it though. Campsites like this are few and far between.

Hiked the Raven rock loop trail. It was challenging for me but not too hard. The views were very nice, especially by the river.

Hidden gem. Loved this park. Space number 2 is the one to get. No trash dumpsters. Over 35 ft for very skilled drivers only to exit S turns going out. Better to go out the way you came in, not worth the risk of damaging your rig.

I would have given this five stars but, if your RV is more than 35 ft long I would avoid this park. The road is very narrow and has to very sharp switchbacks that are very difficult to navigate if you are not better than average. Otherwise the place is extremely clean quiet and always has friendly campers. This park does not have full hookups and is carry your trash out. There are no dumpsters. The price is extremely affordable. We were there for 2 weeks and loved it. Imo site number two the best site to get.

I hike here as much as I can. I stick to Natural Bridge when I just want a quick, easy hike, sometimes hiking it twice around for a better workout. Raven Rock is the best. Beautiful, moderately strenuous hike with the best views at the peak. My happy place, for sure!

Nice place. If you're looking for a developed state park with stores and rental activities, this is not your place. There is a simple area of coastline for swimming and fishing and canoeing, but bring all of your own gear. There is no place to put in a motor driven boat. The campground is fairly simple, but nice and clean. 14 tent sites and fewer RV sites. Hot water and showers available. There are also three trails for hiking. One leads down to the shoreline and is not marked for distance. The other two travel through the woods and ultimately to the lake. One of them is 1.3 miles and one of them is 3.4 miles. Overall, the park is very secluded and is it good place to get away.

Clean, well-maintained campsites with an additional area specifically for primitive tent camping. Easy access to Lake Keowee for swimming and kayaking, but no boat ramp. You won't fight for parking spaces with boat trailers, but the lake access lot does fill up quickly with cars. There's a lovely trail from the campground down to the lake though, so unless you are carrying kayaks or other equipment, you don't even need to drive to the lake access if you're camping. Cell reception is good at the campsites.
The surrounding area has plenty of great outdoor activities including beautiful hiking trails, good fishing holes/access points, historical cemeteries and preserved pioneer/Cherokee sites. The park by itself has several miles of great trails, and Table Rock State Park just a few miles up the road has many more.
Four stars were only given because of some excessively noisy campers after quiet hours. Park Rangers don't patrol in the middle of the night (hey, you're only paying $9-$11 for a GREAT tent site), and some campers can be a bit rowdy. That's only happened a few times though, as it will in any campground. Everything else is fantastic!response / report this review -

If you want a quiet place to relax this is the place. The campground is small which makes it a great place relax. Depending on the sizes of your RV the sites are not too difficult to back into.
Just an FYI you will need to carry out your trash so make sure you take large trash bags.response / report this review
