Very beautiful building and grounds. The building is quite big and the grounds are very nicely landscaped. Also nice view of the city of Frankfort.

One of the prettiest capitol buildings in the country! Our kids loved the color changing dome. The adults liked the first ladies dolls and the red marble from the Middle East. Staff was super friendly and we enjoyed our visit immensely.

One of the premier historic sites to visit in Frankfort, Kentucky.
A must see that has been listed as one of the top three most beautiful capitals in the United States.
Friendly to her staff tour to show you the sites highlights just be sure and bring some sort of picture ID, passport or drivers license .

Beautiful building that is open to the public. You will need an ID to enter and pass through a metal detector when you enter. They have guided tours or you can look around yourself with the guidance of the nice lady at the front desk. The highlights for me were the Supreme Court room and the House and Senate Chambers. Overall great experience.

Stopped in to visit the building on our way back to Ohio from Colorado. My sister collects smashed pennies from different states. They had a machine in the basement. The State Patrol officer at the front door was very friendly and thought we were a bunch of goof balls I am sure. He was very friendly and made the stop even better. We did manage to look around the building before we left and I must say it is a beautiful building.
