Animals are not ours to use nor abuse. We are mammals. They are mammals. They birds who were dinosaurs. We all are fish walking and talking. No animal should a slave of another nor a circus act. There are much better things to admire for beauty in nature wild and free not caged. Like the orangutan here far her indonesian home. A travesty of a business.

Do NOT go to Jungle Island!!! I used to go here all the time when I was a kid and unaware of all of the sketchy activity that goes on here. They offer photo opportunities with baby tigers, but they don't have an exhibit with the tigers once they grow up. They are constantly acquiring baby tigers and giving them away when they get older, which makes me wonder where they are coming from and where they go when they are too big to take photos with. I have also seen the black panther here pacing back and forth constantly in its tiny enclosure, he definitely needs more room. You are better off going to Lion Country Safari or the Miami Zoo.

Very nice .. close to everything.. the space is adequated.. so you don't get tired of walking.. shows and encounters are fair everybody have access to the animals very nice place to take the kids

I am a professional animal trainer based in Long Island NY and I routinely supply exotic animals for TV appearances in NYC. On a recent trip to Miami, I decided to visit Jungle Island. I have been to many zoos in my life and was blown away by Jungle Island. It may not be the biggest zoo (roughly only about 20 acres) but they offer unique experiences that cannot be beat. The ornate exhibits are beautiful and allow you to get within a few inches of each animal (in contrast to dry motes and grottos in other modern-day zoos that keep the animals very far away from the viewing public).

I love Jungle Island! I come here very often with my friends and always have a great time. I always make sure to stop here when i'm in the Miami Area. This zoo has lots of wonderful animals and sights. The shows are also very entertaining and educational. I always learn something new here! The penguins are also super adorable and I always enjoy watching their show. I also enjoy observing the alligators and the rest of the serpents. This zoo has so many different animals to look at and lots of activities, that I never run out of things to do and see. All of the animals, especially the birds are very friendly and sociable, and I love feeding them. The petting zoo is also very nice, where you can feed the goats with bottles and brush their hair. It is also so cool that they allow you to interact with baby kangaroos face to face. I can't think of any other place where you would be able to do that.The restaurant is also pretty good, however overpriced, just like the admission. To me it is worth if however, as the experience of seeing these unique, beautiful animals is amazing.

We had a great timekid loved petting the kangaroos it was amazing watching the animals and birds so close. . Luckily for us the lion and the Tiger were right beside the glass wall and so very close to usgood that the glass was strong !! the 2 tortoises are huge and over 100 years old! Downside is that the park is overpriced and add $10 parking fee on top of it ..

The park was neat and enjoyable but I regret paying extra for the sloth experience. We were told that for $30 more dollars (not including the admission price) we would be able to play with the sloths for half an hour. They made it sound like it would only be our group of two during our time slot but when we arrived, there were four other people there who had also paid extra for the sloths. All six of us split the 30minutes with going inside the sloth's very small enclosure. $30 basically got us 4 minutes each of getting a closer look at the sloth and we were able to feed him one piece of sweet potato each. We all just stood outside for another 30 minutes waiting for our turn. We couldn't hold him or and barely got to pet him. Very disappointed and wish that I hadn't paid the $60 for the group of two. The rest of the park was really neat though. We were able to feed parrots and pet kangaroos at no extra charge. The shows were fun and educational and there was so much to see. We went during a week day so it was not very crowded at all. I would recommend going here but not paying extra for the sloth exhibit. Just was not worth the money

The kids absolutely loved it! Not too big, shaded and best of all lots of animals and shows. They really enjoyed feeding the macaws. Pack a few sandwiches and drinks and it's a perfect place to spend the day with kids.

Overpriced, but nice - 30$ would be okay, but 42-47$ is too much. You have even to pay for parking! Kids will be happy, for adults it's not bad but nothing special. The best is kangaroo pavilion where you can touch them - very relaxing. A lot of nice parrots everywhere. But some animals in the small cages looks unhappy. The staff is friendly and try to do best for customers. The bird show is nice, but the tiger show is really boring. But still it's better to go this place then not to go.

Beautiful foliage, location, and animals. The food offerings were abysmal and hard to reach. The Coca Cola sponsorship is annoying and in your face. The beverage offerings completely miss the mark. They should have multiple vendors with frosty plastic mugs of iced lemonade or slushee. I'm still scratching my head why we found oneone shaved ice vendor at the very furthest point from the entrance. It was a really warm day and people were looking for anything though certainly not Coca Cola to drink. It was really odd.
