Julie Allen is a nice shop with a wide selection of dresses. We got my mother's MOB dress there. My only caution is regarding the customer service.
The dress was beautiful, but we were misinformed by the staff about their products. My mom ordered a floor length dress that was cut really short. We asked if extra length was a possibility, they said yes, so we went ahead with ordering the dress. Months later (when it was too late to order another dress) they called up and said that the dress couldn't come with extra length & then later at a fitting were told by a different employee that it would never have come in extra length. The dress ended up being OK as my mom got very low shoes, but it's something that we wish we knew in the first place. Then we wanted to order a bra and asked if it came in nude. They said yes, so we ordered the bra. It came in white and after speaking with the manufacturer (not another JA person) we found out they didn't even make it in nude! Nice store, but make sure you are getting the correct information regarding your product.

Julie Allen was my first choice for purchasing my wedding dress and the only place I went. Fabulous owners and customer service from all the ladies that work there.

Can't say enough about Melanie, Lauren and the staff at Julie Allen! I purchased a dress for my October wedding back in February from David's Bridal, talk about terrible customer service! I wasn't completely happy with my first dress purchase so off to Julie Allen I went. I was a half hour early for my appointment but was greeted at the door by Melanie, the owner who got me right into a room and into the dress of my dreams! Melanie added a veil and that was it, I was sold. I cried, my mom cried. I didn't have that reaction with the first dress I purchased. I finally had that moment every bride dreams of when they find their dress and I can't thank everyone at Julie Allen enough for helping me find it! Especially on such short notice! To top it all off, my mom also found a dress for my wedding there! This is your one stop shop! I highly recommend Julie Allen Bridals! Thank you!

I got my wedding dress from Julie Allen and couldn't be happier!!! They were so accommodating throughout the entire process!!! They never rushed me, always accommodated my schedule for appointments, and even opened the store early for me right before my wedding for one last fitting. Everything was excellent from the customer service, to the selection of dresses- I can't recommend them enough!!!!

Everyone at Julie Allen Bridal treated me and my girls like gold! Not only did Melanie, the owner, spend time with me finding the most amazing dresstruly it was exactly what I wanted.everyone down to the seamstress had great tips and advice. I can't imagine going elsewhere. Our dresses were stunning in all the pictures and best of all we were all comfortable!!
They have great advice, an amazing selection and they are super friendly! They made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world!

My family has had nothing but success at Julie Allen Bridals. My youngest found her perfect dress with the help of the great staff. I will be back for the Mother-of-the Bride dress. Always a friendly place to shop.

I went in looking for a gown for a wedding. I had a picture on my phone of a style I was looking for, but before I could show it I was told "the mother of the bride gowns are on the back wall". Well I'm not the mother of the bride! Then I showed them the fishtail style gown I was looking for and the owner told me they only have traditional bridesmaids gowns because the bridesmaids are not suppose to take away from the bride. Well, I am in a non-traditional role in the wedding party and since the bride said yes to the dress at Kleinfeld's for a pretty penny I am sure I would not be taking away from the bride.
Soin this day and age that people are trying new things and new customs, don't dismiss your clients!
I had 2 very good friends who I accompanied to purchase their wedding gowns here and I thought they were great, but perhaps they're only great if you're the bride!

Julie Allen's is the best! I made an appointment on a weekday and worked with Melanie, the owner. She could not have been more kind, listening, and attentive to my needs. I told her I had a low budget and she was extremely willing to work with me. I also brought my 20 month old daughter with me and they gave her a stuffed animal to play with while we were there. Melanie must be a mind reader because the first dress I tried on was exactly what I was looking for and it was in my price range. It was THE dress, After trying on two other dresses, I knew the first one was my dress. Everyone was so kind and welcoming at Julie Allen's, I'm recommending this place to all of my friends when they get married!

Don't waste your time. What's the point of making an appointment if no one is going to assist you? I made an appointment for my sisters and I to find dresses for my brother's wedding and the staff was unhelpful and the owner was, frankly, rude.

After showing the owner some pictures, including designer names and style numbers so they should have been easier to find, she rifled through one rack, found one dress, pointed to the other racks and told us to look. Plenty of sales associates were there but no one was assigned to help us. We were left to our own devices to plunder through racks and racks of dresses with no guidance and little organization. We had to go searching for our dressing room which someone had assigned us but never told us, and then we had to search for someone to help clip dresses that were too big.

When we asked about additional sizes in the same style, they told us they only have one of each style in the store. I understand it's expensive to buy all these dresses, but the size 20 that fits me is not going to come anywhere close to fitting on my size 6 sister and vice versa. How can you get an idea of how a dress looks on you if you can't try it on?

But aside from the lack of sizes, the true disappointment is the lack of service. We had gone to a different bridal store of what's usually considered a lower quality earlier that morning and the service was absolutely wonderful, so to come to a better reviewed, more expensive store and not have anywhere close to the same level of service was shocking.

They were more than happy to tell me how perfect I looked once I found a dress that fit but when I finally have a dress on is not when I need your help. I needed your help finding a style, finding my size, making sure it fit, finding similar styles in the same designer for my sisters so we could compare, and listening to our needs. Their compliments, while lovely, made it obvious that all that mattered was the sale.

While I was changing to get ready to leave, my very diplomatic sister told the owner we were surprised at the lack of sizes. The owner told her and our whole party in a flippant tone, that's the way the bridal business is, they have to buy all those dresses outright, you know. When we stepped outside, the bride (who works with dying kids and is the sweetest person you'll meet) said, "Well that was kind of nasty." Yes. Yes it was.

Rudeness and neglect does not sell dresses.
