  What a great place for your every outdoor need and anything military surplus (and lots of new stuff, too). A single trip through the stores isn't sufficient. Every time you return it's another adventure. Staff is informal, friendly and helpful. Members of Civil Air Patrol as well as many other groups receive a discount on items used for their service roles due to the generosity of the owner. Two locations including this one in Waterford and another on Woodward in Royal Oak. This store is with supporting.

  Great place to grab items as props for costumes like fallout or swat/military style. Or just to grab everyday items like hats, gloves, masks, coats and boots. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable and accommodating to what you're looking for.

  Joes' has been my goto place for surplus and first responder clothing and equipment since I was about 10 years old. I just caught a sale on 5.11 pants,they are a great fit and comfortable to wear.

  What a great place to shop! Especially for guys 😀 just found out about their frequent shopper card, wish I had known long ago. Good selection of new and surplus outdoor equipment and clothing. I buy all of my 5.11 clothing there, they even have sales on it once or twice a year. (May be a manufacturers promotion that happens everywhere) In either case they carry a larger​ selection than most places, and always have my sizes.
