Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was not too noisy. The menu was interesting and food we good. Beer was tasty.
The pizza was terrific and my husband loved the German wiener schnitzel. The staff ladies were very nice, along with the gift shop bartender.
I want to jazz up the white walls in the place or give it some color but the music they played was great.
Cool place and really good beer. The food was also delicious and very affordable. It's a good place to go with friends or family even with kids. We had the meatballs, pizza and the scallops with creamy grits and everything was great. The beer flights are great. I love that they have all kids of beers; lagers, wit, ipas, sours, barley wine and stouts. The barley wine is very strong but delicious.
Large selection of beers including brewery exclusives that can't be tried elsewhere. Good food menu with a little something for everyone. Can get crowded on weekends but a fun place to spend some time in a relaxed and jovial atmosphere.
Great fun place to enjoy many different brews and good food. Long communal tables you can meet some nice folks. A little on the noisy side but that adds to the factory feel of it. Wait staff responsive and pleasant.
Awesome spot with nice outdoor and indoor seating. Many delicious beers on tap. Good food and service! Definitely worth checking out. Easy parking.
Very mixed experience. Great beers, a lot of them. We tried 4 ales and all were good. But the food is mediocre at best. We had 2 pizzas and both were terribly chewy and salty. The only good part was their cheese board.
Their approach to self-seating the patrons is weird. I can imagine that there may be quite a bit of tension on a busy night. We got lucky since we scouted the hall and quite quickly spotted a couple ready to leave, and there was nobody waiting for them, so we sort of hang on them. However while we were waiting 3 more groups of people came in and they were out of luck and had to compete for the spots. I don't think that helps to improve the experience.
They have quite big parking lot although it's a bit of walking.
The price of the growlers is really good, so I bought 2 different ales and will definitely come back. However I really doubt that we would stay for another dinner, and would not recommend it to anyone.
The beer is very good. The food selection is small but what I had was good. The seating is very simple. Long tables and benches, which means that if you get up, everyone needs to scoot at the same time.
The place is noisy and busy.
Although they have multiple ramps to get in, there isn't really much wheelchair accessible seating. It is either the aforementioned benches or tall tables which mean that your drink is at the level of your nose.
All that said, the sheer quality of the beer there means that I will brave the issues to spend time there with my friends.
Great place to hang out and enjoy some outstanding beer. Food is excellent, but a little pricey. New outdoor patio is a nice addition.
We love the food and beer, especially Mass Rising, and we come pretty often. However, we hesitate to give more than 2-3 stars because the service is terribly inconsistent. Too bad.
Great food. Excellent Brew selection. Loved the flight option! VERY reasonably priced. Open seating in the beer hall is a little unsettling. Be prepared to "hover" to capture a seat!
Jack's has been on our list forever. We enjoy their beers we buy locally, especially Smoke & Dagger Black Lager and Hoponius Union India Pale Lager and we couldn't wait to see the what the beer hall & kitchen could offer. We were not disappointed. Sure it is chaotic mess of people at tables milling about but everyone was in a good mood. Sure the service was slow at times but everyone was in a good mood! The food was good enough and the beer was fantastic. We will be back. *great place for kids (and their noise)*
Awful service. 1.5 hours and still no seating. Basically it's a large hall and you sit yourself, or you would if you're a local it would seem.
Twice, when space opened up and we were sitting down we were told that other people had been waiting a long time, but they had been waiting as long as us. The third time and what broke the camels back, a family had only been there 5 minutes and sat down and nothing was mentioned, as we were stood at the other end of the bench, making our way over. So we left and cleared our drinks tab with not a mention of an apology.
The food looked good and the blood orange beer was refreshing but I think we dodged a bullet because I went to the restroom on the way out and saw an employee not wash his hands after his business in the bathroom.
By the way, the parking, you have to drive past the building, end of the road, turn left to enter the parking lot as there's limited street parking in front of the place.
With so many quality brew pubs offering great food, beer and service in the area, there's not much reason to come back for a meal. I guess this place is great for couples, but I wouldn't bother if you had kids as seating for 3 was far to much work and we got here early, before 5:30.
