Certainly one of my top two favorite BBQ places in KC! Not only is the food great, the cocktails are very good as well. The service is great as well! I highly recommend this place for an all-around solid BBQ experience. Try the pit beans!

We love this place. Neither my wife nor I have ever had a bad meal here. Service is always very good. They have great BBQ, however, in my opinion, their KC strip is the absolute best in town. I can cut it with a butter knife and it melts in your mouth.

The service was excellent. The restaurant was packed but we were still waited on hand and foot. Servers had great attitude. Decent price point for how much food you got. Warning: The food is rich, delicious, and might just put you in a coma. The only remote down side to ME, and this my not be a bad thing to others, but when I think of burnt ends, I think of double smoked, flavorful, crispy on the outside goodness. These burnt ends were rich, fork tender, juicy and still pretty good. The lamb ribs were IN SANE! The meat peeled off the bone. Tender. A little smokey. The fry seasoning at the table is very good. Cole slaw had great flavor. I would venture as far to say that you could order anything off the menu and be satisfied. Very good drink and liquor selection. Over all, many thumbs up.

My family and I have always loved eating at Jack Stack Barbecue restaurants. This month I had the opportunity to use their catering service for our networking group, Thursday Therapy and it was simply amazing. Since our event was being held at a bridal gown shop, we were looking for an all white menu to prevent any spilling or damage to the dresses. You wouldn't normally think of white when you think of BBQ but the chefs at Jack Stack truly stepped up to create a custom white menu for us. It featured some wonderful new items including smokey, fried cauliflower that was TO DIE FOR!!! Simply put, the food and presentation were impeccable. The staff was warm and happy to be there. GREAT experience! Can't thank you guys enough!

This place was amazing! The food was spectacular. Many drink options. The only complaint was that the lights were extremely dim. Otherwise, it was an awesome experience. I got the choose two with fries and potato salad. It was excellent. I didn’t care for the beer I got. That’s my fault though. I’m picky.

I was there just after 6 on a Monday. It was very busy, but as I was dinning by myself I managed to snag a place at the bar within 10 minutes. Megan was very attentive. I ended up with the grilled salmon salad after much pondering. It was salty, sweet, and one of the best salads I have ever eaten! thanks

I realize that meat is the thing here but they have zero vegetarian main dish options. None. Not one. I wanted to bring a large business dinner party to Jack Stack's but since someone was a vegetarian I had no choice but to skip Jack Stack and go to Lidia's just down the street instead, where everyone could enjoy a nice meal. Such an easy thing to remedy and yet so out-of-touch in 2017 for a restaurant of this price range. Even Burger King has a vegetarian burger and it's pretty good. Bottom line: JS lost a $900+ tab for the lack of a $14-18 vegetarian main dish on the menu.

Delicious BBQ and a decent beer selection! It had a much fancier aesthetic than I thought it would. Also, lamb ribs??? What??? I had them and they were very tender and tasty. It's in this old freight house, so initially when I pulled up I thought there was no parking because you see the back of the building when you approach off of the street, but I thought it was the front. I walked up to the building and finally realized my error! There is plenty of parking! My bar maid was incredible and attentive and even helped me make my choice since it never been there before. It was very busy, so obviously a popular place.

Kansas City, known for BBQ. The lady loved her pork ribs, and BBQ chicken, and my beef ribs were good too. The atmosphere is cool. Drinks are spot on. Service is great.

BUT this is like going to a high end Mexican place. You can get just as good, from a dude in a food truck/trailer for 1/3 the price.

Busy place, but the wait was pleasant at the bar. Quick and attentive bar staff even in a crowded room. I was there with a group of about 8 and we got seated in under an hour which we did not mind at all as we were having fun in the bar area. Once seated, the server was also attentive, responsive . The BBQ combinations are awesome and everyone in our group was pleased. Would definitely go back. As with any place that is great, expect the wait and enjoy yourself, you will not be disappointed!

My friend and I visited KC from the Detroit, MI area and we wanted to see what KC was known for, which is their BBQ food. Our sources told us that this BBQ join is awesome so we decided to check it out.

Upon walking around the building, you can immediately smell the amazing aroma of BBQ food. It was then I realized that the food was going to be delicious.

We walked into the establishment and we were greeted immediately. Our waiter did a fantastic job of serving us. I personally got their combo with 3 items. There was not that long of a wait for the food, which is amazing for how busy the place was.

A side note: this place does get very busy (for all of the right reasons) so there may be a wait here.

I'm torn because Jack Stack has the absolute best piece of smoked meat I've ever tasted. This legendarily delicious specimen is the Crown Prime Beef Rib. This makes me want to rate Jack Stack at 5 stars, but the price gives me pause. They raised the prices from the beginning of the month of April when I first visited to the end of the month when I next visited. The prices were already higher than any other BBQ joint I've visited (It's probably not accurate to call them a "joint" because they're pretty fancy). But when I say that they're too high, I'm saying that as someone who absolutely loves great food, but I couldn't bring myself to paying forty bucks for 3 bones before I left town. I just knew I'd have buyers remorse as I was chewing (although it melts in your mouth), and I didn't want my memory of the Crown Prime Beef Rib to be tainted with regret. So, I have to be honest in saying that you won't find a better piece of meat, but you're definitely going to pay for it.

Always loved this place. Great food. Great service. It was the first time at this location but very consistent with the other locations. Got the sampler platter to share. The brisket was fork tender. The burnt ends were moist and flavorful. The beans were smoky and spicy. The cheesy corn was flavored just right the the meaty smokiness, cheesy goodness. Recommend going here if you have never been.

This place really gets 5 stars. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was fantastic. There's a huge wait list in the evenings though. It's next to the train station, so there is lots of easy parking. It's actually in an old railway warehouse, so that makes a beautiful venue. There is outdoor seating and a bar.
