The grounds are lovely, especially in the fall when the air is crisp and the open air fire pits distributed around the property are lit and surrounded by plentiful seating. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable and always looking for an opportunity to be of service.
The rooms are a bit dated and could use an update, but are spacious and well appointed. Beds were comfy with a selection of pillows, which I always appreciate.
The food on-site is good, although probably a bit overpriced ($20-$26 for the breakfast buffet, depending on what you want included). But there are a number of excellent restaurants a short ride away.
Camelback golf club is also only a few minutes from the hotel, and the bell desk provided us with transportation in their GMC Yukon with plenty of time before our tee-times. Both courses are very good, although the links course is a bit more picturesque and challenging.
I did not visit the pool or spa during my stay, but the pool always seemed lively yet relaxing.
Overall, this is an excellent resort for a retreat, whether business or personal in nature.
I was here for a corporate holiday party at on eof the outdoor venues. The decorations and food were pretty cool. My only complaint is that the party was supposed to be open until 10 and the crew started packing it up at 845. Great location, hopefully we will be back again
Amazing place. We have been here three times and we will come back every time we are in the area. Beautiful, secluded resort. Great staff and gorgeous views.
I love this resort. Pricey but worth it. Service is EXCELLENT! Also customer service and reception are AMAZING. Food is good. Great massage. Love the atmosphere.
I’m currently staying at the JW and I couldn’t wait to write the review. This place is amazing! The food, the service, the location- unbelievable! They upgraded us to a parlour suite with our own private pool, literally couldn’t ask for anything more. This place is a MUST stay and I would recommend it to anyone: couples, families.. anyone!
It is a very nice hotel. It is like your house. It's close to airportort and nice locations. This hotel is good for hiking mountain. There was very nice view from this hotel. The hotel room was very nice clean and well organized. This hotel had a tennis court ,golf. I was very enjoy the night to stay here. I think everybody like this hotel and very reasonable price.
My husband and I had an event with brunch and the staff was wonderful! Our server in the room was so kind and quick to offer beverages. Food was top notch and we loved It! Can't wait to go back again!
This is a very nice resort hotel. Visitors need to understand in advance that this place is like a small town and requires a lot of walking to get around. It's not a traditional hotel with all of the rooms and amenities in a single building. To add to that, there is construction on part of the property which has closed part of the internal road/walking area. I was simply not prepared for the size of the place.
I joined a hotel guest for a social function at the pool. There were multiple, spacious pools, each with clear water and clean surfaces. There aware lap areas, play areas, and a hot tub so everyone was satisfied. Additionally, there was a gazebo providing water and towels. Overall, I'd very highly rate the pools at Camelback inn
I love this hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating - each and every one of them. My senses were confused between a retro 1950s playground and a modern spa. The art gallery is an amazing touch! Everything I ate was freshly made, delicious and served with a smile. I'll be back!
Great JW resort. Very well maintained and a great property overall. There are a couple of things you need to be aware of at this location however It is a HUGE property. They have spaces out bungalows that you will need to either drive your car to or will need to utilize their golf cart staff to get to your room. This is great if you are there for recreation and don't mind walking a bunch to get to your breakfast, etc not a great place for business travelers at all. We arrived at 3:30 and had to wait until 4:30 until our room was ready, which was a common issue for about 50 other people choking the lobby with us. The rooms are spacious and well furnished and very clean, so if you are looking for a great golfing resort, this place is for you.
Great clean rooms with normal size and amenities. Large property with artificial rivers and a large swimming pool in the resort. Great day activities including golf and desert adventure trips available. Only complaint is that check in was delayed for an hour due to the room being cleaned.
Friendly staff and beautiful grounds, however the hotel didn't have a room for me upon check in and I had to be put up at another hotel. Our group had over 400 rooms booked, so you would figure we were important enough to to not have anyone in our party have their room oversold. Not what you would expect from a "high end" hotel.
The hotel is beautiful. The Lincoln restaurant was delicious our only issue was the hotel room was not maintained like a 4.5 star hotel. The fan in the ceiling was falling down, trim on the door was broken off. and there was a live roach in the room. That being said, we would not hesitate to return just not at the rate they are charging for this season.
For my job I get to travel quite a bit for training, of all the places I have stayed none have had better desk clerk as Courtyard Scottsdale salt river. Kristie at the front desk was right on the ball with a friendly smile and very professional attitude. Questions were answered and she explained all of the amenities of this very nice Marriott. Room is bigger than expected and very clean also. Love having a plug just above the desk.
