This is the best place to take care of your pet. I have a Beagle, and a Basset Hound, that at the present time is very sick. Dr. Veronica Gomez and staff, has been AMAZING. Dr. Gomez is the most sweet, caring, loving and professional. On top of dedicating her time to our pets at work, her care doesn't stop there. She also make phone calls, and makes sure her patients, are getting the care they need. Thank you so much, to Dr Gomez and all of you, for your love and dedication to our Bryanna. God bless you all.

We are down visiting our friend and our dog had a fight with an iguana. She took our call on Thanksgiving and kept us calm. Thank you for being a caring doctor. Why trust anyone else. Awesome.

Really great service, they seem to really care for your pet and have a great bedside manner. Both vets and techs are super nice, informative, and competent. My only complaint is that they're fairly expensive, but since I trust them I'm ok with paying a little more. I only want the best for my baby, and they've squeezed me in last minute before. This may be one of the best vets I've ever used, and I've used a lot!!!

I travel with work and have a hard time finding good veterinarians. Not knowing anyone in the area, I usually have to go to a couple before finding one that I like. It ended up being the same here in the Keys, after
going to another vet in the Islamorada area I wasn't satisfied that my cat
with diabetes was going to do well so decided after hearing from a couple
locals that I should try Island Hammock. They were right on, this place is
awesome, the technicians behind the scenes are super helpful, and the Doctors know what they are doing. Dr Edwards, knew exactly what I had learned already with my pet, and taught me a couple of extra things too.
She listens to you, which is a great plus when your dealing with something
concerning with your loved ones. South Florida is lucky to have this place!!
Definitely CHECK it out!!! 5 Stars all the way!! My cats even liked it :)

My mastiff Copper loves this place and the staff are always receptive and caring. We wouldn't want to take him anywhere else. Thank you for always being such a great clinic. Although the pricing is a bit more than some other pet clinics one must realize that living in the Florida keys does require a bit of a premium for services rendered than most other places that do not have as high of a cost of living. I find them reasonable and am happy to have such a great place so close to home.

I have been taking my pets here for years. Very good with my pets, always are friendly and profession. I love Dr. Gomez and Colleen they are amazing what can I say I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

Norman's experience there was amazing. I have a big scared pit bull who never likes going anywhere without his family, but the staff was super helpful and caring with Norman. The staff worked extremely hard and though it was busy the staff seemed like they always just take it in stride. I would highly recommend!

While making the choice where to bring my pets, I admit I was warned about this clinic. However, it being so close to home I decided to call anyway.

I called before the exam and was given a specific quote, but when I was checking out paid more than $150 more than quoted over the phone.

Also, when bringing them back for a booster shot, the exact same thing happened.

I was assured over the phone the boosters were paid for and there would only be a small OSHA fee ($2.99)

However, I just left there $80 poorer.

I understand care for our four legged family may get pricey, I just wish they could have been more honest.

I will NOT recommend this clinic to anyone, and will be transferring my pets care elsewhere.

I went to Island Hammock with my French Bulldog who I thought was overheating from excessive heat. I was in Key Largo from out of town and was a walk-in. I was greeted professionally by a lovely staff very eager to help. The doctor was gracious to see my dog on such short notice. The facility was clean and very well organized. They sent me off with a healthy pup and gave me follow-up treatment care. They saved my vacation and I would go back in a heartbeat!!!! I highly recommend this vet!
