Very easy booking and very quick to respond staff. We emailed them early in the morning and explained that we may need to do a late check in due to traffic concerns. They emailed back literally 2 minutes after they opened in the morning and gave us full instructions on late check in. Our cottage was very cute and clean and I slept like a baby both nights. Nice continental breakfast, convenient location, and very friendly staff. Plus, excellent top-rated restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

While working in Key Largo for 15 days a couple weeks after Hurricane Irma, I had the pleasure of staying at The Pelican in 2 different ocean suites. Given that I didn't know how long I would be working in the area, the office staff did everything they could to accommodate me with another very nice room when the suite I was staying in was reserved by another guest. They were very busy with all of the recovery workers in the area, so I felt very fortunate to have them looking out for me during my stay there. I had no maintenance or cleaning issues during my stay and the staff was very nice.

The suites were very spacious, clean and have the most comfy beds! Both have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers, with the larger suite having a full kitchen and screened patio backing up to the bay. The beach is kept very clean and the views are spectacular! I enjoyed my stay here and recommend The Pelican to anyone planning a visit to Key Largo.

Great place, location and staff. Very clean and family friendly. Free kayaks are a little beaten up and they only allow you out for 2 hours for free. What do you expect for free? I would recommend and stay here again.

Really tiny rooms. No space for luggage or personal stuff. AC is enormous loud. Light shines inside the room, no way to get the room dark. It was a desasterous experience. Sleeping in the car is more comfy.

Please do me a favor DO NOT BOOK this hotel. It is not worth any penny. Could not unterstand any other review. Are these fake?

Great place for kayaking and relaxation. Kayaks are free if you stay in the hotel's cottage. The cottage itself was clean and nice.

Perfect beach hotel! Simple and quiet, exactly what we wanted. Tucked away rooms and access to the water, 3 docks and a mini beach. Free kayak rentals with ID, simple breakfast in the morning in the tiki hut, and super friendly and sweet staff. Watch for iguanas in the road, and don't park under the coconut palm trees! Definitely recommend to anyone, and will be back next time I'm diving down here!

By the looks it's an older place but well maintained and our room was tiny but very clean. Also access to a small beach with coconut trees and sunset view. It is just beautiful.
Basic breakfast, free parking, free kayak for 2 hours, close to shops, diners and Starbucks, good location.
It's very relaxed, I liked it. Iryna that checked us in was very nice.
One minus star for small TV with 1 working channel.

What a great find! Room was spacious with a kitchen. Beach and docks were easily accessible and had lots of lounge chairs to enjoy the water and the sun. Free use of kayaks to explore the bay was a nice amenity. Close to nearby restaurants that you could walk to. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We stayed in one of the oceanfront cottages just for one night. They were for the most part clean, but very outdated which can sometimes give an unclean look. They also didn't supply shampoo or conditioner as a hotel stay would. We had to go out and purchase them. The view is beautiful and we saw quite a few birds, lizards and fish just standing on the deck. They have complementary pattle boating and breakfast. Breakfast was very small. Prepackaged danishes, cereal and toast. The eating area outside the breakfast area was very nice. I'd stay again.

The cottages are quaint and cute, but we had a horrendous issue the first night with bugs in our cottage. They were coming in from somewhere and we killed literally hundreds, resorting to setting a lamp in the corner of the room and leaving it on all night to keep the bugs off of us. We told management and they said they would make it right, to their credit. I'm not sure what they may have done, but the next two nights were blissfully bug-free, thank goodness.

Otherwise the whole complex is super cute, the location is great, WiFi is reliable and fast, and overall it's really a great place to stay. It's nice to be so close to the beach and to have access to the sea kayaks provided by the Pelican. There are a number of great restaurants nearby too, some within walking distance, most just a short car trip away.

The management was kind and professional to our entire party, even while addressing concerns like the bugs. The beds were comfortable and spacious, the linens were clean enough (some very minor stains when we first arrived), and the pillows were comfortable but leaned toward the soft side. We didn't have a need to use the coffee maker, but the mini-fridge worked just fine, everything seemed clean, and we would absolutely stay here again.

This place is a hidden gem. Wonderful , very clean place. It has its own little beach and docks. The docks are equipped with lovely lounges to watch the sunset.
The price is excellent and the owners were very friendly.
The next time I come.to the Key's I will skip the over priced rooms in key West and spend my time and money here.

My wife and I spent our 5 yr anniversary here and it was fun! Older style hotel with lots of personality, clean and tidy, right on the water with plenty of things to do in walking distance. The only 2 hiccups we had were the morning shower pressure, which was none, and the continental breakfast. Breakfast is served in this tiny room at 7:30am and my wife and I were the 1st ones there and we got bombarded with other guests who were too rude to wait their turn. I understand this isn't on the hotel entirely but a bigger room or a sign with a limited occupancy posted would solve this issue. Other than that great stay and we had a blast and will 100% be coming back one day. Thank you to the friendly and accommodating staff at Pelican Cottages!
