Good Food, too expensive. Poor service. Ambiance was somewhat good, if you like sitting almost in the dark at a freezing cold restaurant. I felt as though we were being given a 2nd class table next to the front door. Though it could have been worse had we been seated next to the kitchen or bussing station. Will I go back again? Highly doubt it. We were there just before 5:00 on a Saturday night.
My husband and i ate there yesterday 10/22/2017 and i could have had the same quality food if not better from the local QT convenience store hotdog rack. Our food sat in the window for a while before being delivered to us. (i kept an eye on it because it was taking so long) By the time my all you could eat shrimp meal got to me with 6 shrimp on it they were luke warm at best. Once our waitress finally came back around to check on us i asked for more shrimp. By the time all that took place, i just wanted to leave. So all you can eat is true if you can flag down someone to get it for you. My husband's cheeseburger tasted like it was boiled in water then served to him. I tasted it and it was the worst hamburger i have ever tasted. This leads me to believe that all the food is not for human consumption. Needless to say we left vowing to never go back, i should have just gotten some potato chips on the rack by the registers.
Michelle is very personable and attentive. Our hostess, I've forgotten her name, addressed our every interest. We are very happy with today's visit. We've recognised the much improved interaction and guest service.
I had the fish and chips platter. The fries are absolutely delicious, my fish was a little dry but the tartar sauce made it alright. Beautiful scenery, cozy and lots to look at.
We really enjoyed the fish and chips, kids fried shrimp, ceasar salad, and macaroni and cheese. We did not like the other specialty items such as boar burger. We were impressed with the family seating and small aqaurium. They also had a fish bowl drink for the grown ups.
"Fish company" is extremely misleading. This restaurant has maybe 5 dishes on the menu that could possibly be called "fish" or "seafood", and most of those feature tilapia. This is not a seafood restaurant. I was astounded, when I went there, looking down at the almost seafood-free menu and then up at the decor, featuring various exotic sea creatures hanging from the ceiling. The food and drinks are mediocre quality at best, but the staff, the best thing about this place, does a good job at service and will work to ensure your meal is exactly as you order it.
Very pleasantly surprised. The waiter was great. Not very many people there. I ordered blackened ahi tuna. It was perfectly prepared and tasty, not quite sushi grade but good.
I honestly wasn't expecting much since it was in a bass pro, but it was way better than I expected. I'll be coming back.
This place has wonderful ambiance, from its thatched ceiling to the enormous fireplace & chimney.
Stop by for a meal, and you'll receive a yeast loaf topped with sugar. It was a nice touch.
I killed 2 gnats while dining, yet there were still more airborne. Was I in the vicinity of some kind of rotting fruit compost pile? I don't know.
They have really good clam chowder. I highly doubt this is a canned brand. Tastes like they built if from scratch.
My wife and I ordered the world famous grouper sandwich. Unfortunately it was topped with American cheese. Thick ole slice of American cheese, which kind of hijacked the taste and we didn't much care for it. The accompanying seasoned fries were the typical frozen restaurant style.
If I come back, I'm sitting at the bar, so I can ogle their majestic salt water aquarium and reminisce of my days aboard the Calypso with Jacques.
Really tasty fish dishes, no wait and lots of scenery. My family likes to guess the fishes names. The prices are a little high but the service was spot on. Overall a very nice experience.
Service was outstanding. We enjoyed four courses of food and everything was great.
We enjoy eating here whenever we go to bass pro shop. Menu is limited but good. Clam chowder is excellent. Pulled pork is okay but nothing to write home about. Cool atmosphere. Kids dig it.
