Ptetty good mexican food. The salsa and chips were great. The bean dip grows on you after you eat it a few times. I think that was the first time i had been served bean dip with chips. I have been several times and all my entrees were good.
In poor taste
The food is usually good, only problem is when the cooks sit at the bar complaining about supervisors and cheat the owner with "discounted" drinks at the bar after praising each other with getting high after their shift with the bar keep.
We were seated quite fast, drinks place and our orders taken, our waitress was a little on the rude side but her act cleared up quick, food is pretty good although the steak fajitas could've been chopped up into strips instead of steak fries. I do suggest you have your waitress wipe off the tables again, looks like they might be missed a spot.
This place is a little pricey, but the food is good. I'd recommend dining in rather than taking out. I ordered take out and they smashed my taco salad which was gross and a waste at the same time.
Pretty good food. Adequate service half the time. Not a very good kids menu. 3.5 stars.
I didn't expect a whole lot beforehand (given it's located in a mall), but the over-priced, over-cheesed, and lacking-seasonings Enchilada Trio still disappointed. Our server was terse and in a bad mood. The Chocolate Mini Chimis were good, but I would suggest getting something cheaper and quicker in the food court if you're at this mall. This is a very poor rendition of Mexican food. I spent just at $50 (after tip) for one beer, two entree's, and a dessert.
Server was slow and rude, food was below average.
There were 3 of us, server to my drink order, didn't take anybody else's order and left. Came back and asked if we're ready to order. I had to remind her that she didn't get my husband and son's drink order. Ordered the food, food came out sooner than expected, but it looked and tasted terrible. She didn't bring my son's drink even after the good came out.
Overall bad experience.
I would honestly avoid this place. I went here to eat to catch up with an old friend that I hadn't seen in about two years. The waitress who waited on us was extremely rude to us. We both ordered the house margaritas mine tasted like pure alcohol and hers tasted like it was just mix. After being extremely disappointed with how cold and disgusting our food was and being unabled to eat it. Her and I paid our separate bills and left. We went outside in the parking lot where she said she started to feel sick and she began throwing up the food she had eaten. Us hanging out was cut short because of how ill she was and so we went our separate ways. It wasn't until today (the day after eating there) that I began getting sick. I also noticed that there was a extreme amount of fruit flies and house flies within the restaurant which is a clear indication that it isn't clean in the back and there is rotting food sitting out. Which is pretty gnarly considering I noticed a lot of families eating there with small kids.
I love their chips and salsa, I also love their food. Good prices, but slow service sometimes. I would go here again, but I like the original one better, but it's too far.
It's conveniently located inside the Arizona mills mall. The interior is always clean and has nice decorations. They have vegetarian options such as spinach and cheese enchiladas which are so good!!
Monarch is fine dining at its best. Everything at the restaurant is upscale. From the white linen table cloths to the furnishings throughout the restaurant. The service, food, and venue are all spectacular.
